Duncan Ferguson - The Coach

Not once has he said he's the man for the job
Not once has he said he's equipped for the pressures
Not once has he said he's tactically aware.

Every minutes he's been in charge he'll have learned something about himself.

Do you know why he punching the air? Because he's probably relieved he's got us out of these matches 0retty much unscathed, hasn't embarrassed the club or himself to the point where we are.a laughing stock and will be more than happy to hand over the reigns to a top manager.

Silva couldn't get a tune out of this lot even when they were all fit so god knows what anyone thought Ferguson was gonna do.

5 points out of 9 and if we csn beat Burnley that's been a decent return compared to the absolute shambles 9f the rs away.
Absolutely. Just a couple of weeks ago most on here were predicting 3 defeats, he got a win and 2 draws.
Well done Dunc, you got them fighting for the shirt again.

I have no problem with delph coming off but to bring keane on was laughable. He should of pushed Davis inside.

that’s another option but he mess up the starting lineup and wasted a sub on Tosun.
Ideally siggy and delph should not be starting or taken off. They both combine and destroy the counter attacking style.

Delph has missed 7 or 8 games.
He was probably not able for 90 mins .
No problem taking him off.
But should have put Davies in the middle and brought on Bernard

Do we know for certain that Bernard isn't carrying an injury?

It's entirely possible that Ferguson had his hands tied about what subs he could make but of course he can't come out and say that.

Moise Keane not being fit enough for 45 minutes being a major reason that Tosun was brought on no doubt.

Loads of folk on here are claiming that Ferguson was naive with his subs without actually knowing what was available to him.

If he was carrying an injury why would he be on the bench . If he was on the bench injured then that was poor management.

Done more than was expected...

I expect that is why he was happy, he may have been told to try and get 4 points out of these fixtures and ended up with 5. But this one was the poorest out of the lot. The players were bound to get tired I suppose as without enforcing a game plan that can get 50% of the ball that is a lot of running to do in just a few weeks.

Still way better than last December so we should be thankful.

Is right mate. Well said.

Ultimately seemed more concerned with not losing his unbeaten run in the end which is disappointing given how things have gone.

Arsenal team were for the taking, if he'd been more focused on this rather than just not losing he could have signed off as high as possible. Just a poor mentality for the last game especially compared to the Chelsea game.

Quite happy overall

Had two home games to keep the season alive and he's ultimately failed in both.

Had a winning formula at Chelsea and chose to change and complicate things which has pretty much ended our season in terms of any hopes of a trophy or realistic chance of European qualification via top 7.

very very frustrating as I think he played it safe when he could have been brave and done more.

Still love the bloke but hope he's kept well away from the job for many years to come as he shown a wee bit too much Moyes loving a draw plucky mentality in him in the most recent 2 games.
