Duncan Ferguson - The Coach

If he was carrying an injury why would he be on the bench . If he was on the bench injured then that was poor management.

Why are we so quick wanting to have a go? Again he's had ZERO managerial experience and he made mistakes. He wasn't being paid millions upon millions to get the side firing again he was a caretaker in the role before we brought in a more experienced a better manager.

We love cry arsing about the club and why we are where we are but it's not just the club that has issues it's us fans too. We've been diluted to shouting for handball and moaning.

Let's give Duncan a bit of appreciation and hope Carlo can work some magic. ''Nahh lad he wasted a sub!!''

I think many people would have accepted the five points when Duncan was given the role. Duncan has done an amazing job and if there's anything he needs to improve is substitutions. I also suspect interference from Moshiri to let Tosun play which cost us the Carabao Cup game and dropped two points today. He needs to get away from making diplomatic substitutions to appease players and Chairman alike.

It's only a few weeks ago people were saying 2 or 3 points from the run of games that started V Leicester till now would have been a big ask we got 5 so Dunc has done well.

The comments on this thread seem to be indicating some kind of personality contest.

If you like Duncan Ferguson then your comments are positive if not then they're negative.

The reality is that he's done a fair job given what was available to him and the position he was put in.

There's not much more to it than that.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal in back to back league games and undefeated, unthinkable 6 weeks ago. No fluke either, it was all down to Duncs influence. Nice for him to depart with an unbeaten league record.

Just hope we've signed up the Ancelotti of old now and he takes us to the next level, an "easier" fixture against Burnley will be interesting now the big fella is not there in his shirt sleeves roaring them on.

Yep, I hope the next 4 and a half years are breathtaking...............but why do I always wish Everton would buy their managers from Costco so they can take them back with no fuss if they fail to deliver.

5 points from Chelsea United and Arsenal when you’ve got an injury crisis and THIS group of cowardly spineless players is pretty good going.

It is but thats Evertons problem in a nut shell - 8th place in the table is pretty good going - but dont we want more than that?

Arsenal were there for the taking today and we shown them way too much respect / reverted to Silva futbol and it didnt work and ultimately cost us 2 points.

Likewise we gave Leicester way too much respect first half on wednesday and gifted them 2 goals.

Yes he's inexperienced which is why surely he should have just kept with what went so well at Chelsea especially with the GP crowd behind him?

He has done much better than I thought he would.

I was sort of expecting fatigue to take its toll today - and it did - but we didn't lose.

He walked into a storm with a nightmare run of fixtures and injuries and came out unbeaten - so well deserved congratulations.

A world away from Unsworth in the same position who looked completely over-awed.

Duncan certainly steadied the ship. I thought he came across particularly well, expressed himself very well and was a mature and calming influence when we badly needed it.

As a doubter, his stock has risen considerably for me.

I hope Ancelotti encourages him to voice his thoughts and opinions as part of the staff.

Either he couldn't or wouldn't do it under Silva but I think we benefit from a motivating, passionate Ferguson and that needs to continue.

I like big dunc, but today was dodgy to be honest

Thanks to the Big Man for stepping into the breach and getting better results than anyone could have hoped for.
So pleased that he continues to have a role moving forward.
