Fanciers get VERY emotional and competitive about their favoured methods, believe me. My late Father in Law was a champion fancier, and his methods were jealously protected. (Now he is dead, I can reveal its all about promising the males they get sex, and the females that an egg needs to be sat on).

The trick is convincing a pigeon. They aint that bright. Its not that far removed from managing footballers really.

Ultimately let’s look at his current role. That tells you he’s valued by the club - More than any of us (singularly) anyway. It also tells you that he’s got talent - who was the last assistant manager to a 3 time champs league winning manager?

Granted, I am stretching the analogy to beyond breaking point, but if Dunc has the powers of persuasion to make a pigeon think it will get its end away if it flies fast from the Isle of Skye to his house in Cheshire, somehow he persuaded a group of footballers to batter Chelsea and pick up some decent points.

Its a view that is growing on me.

Yep ...more elastics than mesh nowadays , but same principle send them to France for the big races and all thats in his mind is his leg over the quicker he gets home :)

Not a bad handover from Dunc to Carlo .
