The Duncan Ferguson song was the only one I could remember the words for. It went Duncan, Duncan Ferguson, Duncan Duncan Fergusson, Duncan Duncan Ferguson etc etc. Do you get the rhythm?

Thanks for posting the lyrics. Classic evertonian footballing anthem. Rivaled only perhaps by 'you're [Poor language removed] and you know you are.'

The RS may be top of the league, and European champions but when it comes to the music what have they got to compare? You'll never walk alone? Pffft....

Some people are making way to much of Big Dunc being manager. He's here for today's match, maybe next week at a push and probably nothing else. Is it really worth having a go at the guy or moaning about such a short term thing?

Personally I don't think much of him as a coach and I think we need to have a serious discussion about if he should stay on after the new manager arrives.

However, unlike the other idiots we've had for managers in recent years (along with 99% of our players during that time) I don't doubt that Big Dunc actually cares about this club. That goes a long way for me. I just hope some of his passion for the club makes the rats on the field actually try.

Exactly.

He's there to give us a much needed boost until a new manager is installed. It's a shrewd move if it works.

Wow duncan has gone up alot in my estimation that presser was just raw emotion, summing up how most fans are feeling.

Just hope he can translate it into our players on the pitch with his words.

They need to play with aggresion and passion to restore some pride after that surrender midweek.

When things were very bleak in the 90s he was a player who fans adored .
Not the best in the world but an attitude that we could identify with .
He may not be the best coach in the world but how can you question his love for the club .
Today and the result will mean as much to him as any person in the ground. We can't say that about any other manger we have had for a while.

Dunc was so honest and open in that presser that I found it a bit disorienting.

His lack of media experience was clear - and that made me warm to the big man even more. But it also left me with a deep sense of dread. I don’t know if he’s ready - he almost said as much himself.

This is either going to go very well or very badly.

I think it all rests on the crowd. I can’t be there today, but I hope those of you who are tear the roof off. Goodison can win this for Dunc.

stop banging Your drum now dave it's been the same beat for too long. ever thought hes still employed at everton out lasting martinez, koeman, bigsam, silva because hes respected by staff and players and majority of fans. thing is he's only here as the board dithered in sacking silva and getting a replacement hes in charge for a few games at most. if we pick up points its a bonus. I don't expect miracles from hIm.
he was asked today would he like it full time at least he had the balls to admit he wasn't ready to manage us permanently yet.
if we get a few wins and good performances are you going to have the balls to admit you were wrong? takes a man to admit his shortcomings and mistakes.
That's a stretch.

The players see him as a bit of a dinosaur, and he's popular amongst a certain demographic of support who dont know any better than so called "Big Dunc".
