We haven’t had much luck with the Walsh family have we?
I remember Steve Walsh saying when he first came in that he hoped he would have more success with us than his brother did...……………………...

and the fact is that even 40 years later I can recall Duncan’s play with fondness. He had something about him , Magic.

Last time I heard that I was sat outside a Wimpy restaurant on the Rotterdam version of Church Street in May 1985. And about 20 Evertonian's were carrying a very drunk Duncan on their shoulders. He was leading the singing of his own song and everyone on route was joining in as they went past.Let's all agree.
He was magic.
On reflection, it was a grey time all round wasnt it? Think of the mecurial players back then, many of whom thrilled their own fan base, but for whatever reason never got the wider recognition at the time.
Hudson, Currie, Barnes, (Peter for younger readers) Bowles, Worthington, must be tons more.

Wasn’t a great era for banners , I remember the “General Lee “” one then people pointed out he was on the losing side ..
It wasn’t a great period for the team either , and the fact is that even 40 years later I can recall Duncan’s play with fondness. He had something about him , Magic.
Rodney Marsh.
Did you ever see the special pre world cup version of come dine with me they did about 10 years ago. Frank Worthington was in it with Neil Ruddock, John Fashanu and a fourth who I can't recall. It was classic TV and old Frank was the star of the show.
I was young but it’s what I remember. I’ll take your word though.NO MATE YOU GOT THAT SONG WRONG. here it is "we all agree Duncan McKenzie is magic, magic,,,, we all agree Duncan.....
The second one" Bobby Latchford walks on water.... Naner Nan naaaa.
The the classic from that Era "oh Andy is our king"
We hadn't beat the Rs for 7 years, played them at Goodison. What a strike from Andy King, think it was goal of the season. Pandemonium in the enclosure. Beat them one nil I will never forget it. Got goosebumps now. Ahhhhhh
Rings a bell for some worrying reason!

Probably Neil Ruddock's fat arse in a pinnie
That was 1975 mate, not when Duncan was here. I was at both of the games you quote. We also got stuffed away at Carlisle too. So near...But we almost won the league, we lost two crazy games at home after leading both 2nil at halftime. If my memory is correct Carlisle we lost 2_3. And Sheff united also 2_3. Sketchy but we were very close, or maybe my Blue tinted glasses have got me bitter and twisted. Maybe my head has finally gone. I am back over for the Sheff utd game guess what score I am betting? BTW last visit for me we won 2nil, scorers,?? DCL and Cenk,, I kid u not. COYBbs
