I don't expect to find someone going on about the intricacies of webs in a Spiderman thread.

Yes mate, it is about the film but tbf the film is based on true massively important historical events so maybe the Spiderman example isn't the best. I personally think some of the people unhappy about historical inaccuracies are being a bit OTT considering no film can ever be 100% accurate but what harm does it do if they want to talk about it? If your not interested in what they type, don't read it.

My only criticism was that the sense of scale was lacking. At no point did there look like there were 4000 men on the beach never mind 400000. Good film though

Just seen this. What an amazing film. Even if it isn't 100% accurate it really gives you an idea of what people went through and the incredible togetherness and comradery of the people of Britain. 10/10 for me.

Back on topic.

Dunkirk is an absolute masterpiece. Possibly the best film I've ever seen. Easily the best film I've seen in beards. I cannot rave enough about this film.

You don't even realize there's very little dialogue in the film, it's that well done. Experiential filmmaking at it's finest.

I thought the US navy did a great job in getting us poor beaten brits back to blighty.........

After the glowing reviews I was a bit disappointed with it. It felt a bit disjointed at times, the portrayal of the scale of the evacuation was definitely lacking, and personally I would have liked a greater inclusion of the fighting that took place in the lead up to and during the evacuation.
