My only criticism was that the sense of scale was lacking. At no point did there look like there were 4000 men on the beach never mind 400000. Good film though
I'm going to see it on Friday and asked the lad at work who saw it this weekend about it and he said exactly the same thing. Weird. How hard is it now for decently budgeted film not to make it look like there are more people than there actually are? Other films manage it, don't they?
More references about us here :Bet Nolan hasn't got one mention of Everton in his version, thats one point off straight away when I see it...

After the glowing reviews I was a bit disappointed with it. It felt a bit disjointed at times, the portrayal of the scale of the evacuation was definitely lacking, and personally I would have liked a greater inclusion of the fighting that took place in the lead up to and during the evacuation.
Given the budget for the film, and the research that was undoubtedly done for it, it is an utter joke that they have yellow-nosed Messerschmitt Bf 109s!
Absolutely staggering! Messerschmitt Bf 109 units did not received orders to paint the engine cowlings, wingtips and rudders with temporary yellow paint until mid August 1940...
That is a basic error in this day and age...
