Probably why we want him. When you’ve got one of the best in the air up front it makes sense to get people in who can supply him.

But he plays in a position that our other best attacker happens to play in.

And we're playing 4-2-3-1 (for some reason), so where would Richarlison fit in when he's back?

He doesn't play right side really... maybe he could if we had a right-back overlapping, or maybe he could even play central off Dom but, I don't see it.

So, we're chasing McNeil, who is a good player, but has never played right side, and it's the right flank which we need filling.

But our midfield is completely porous as it is. The last system we should be playing is 4-4-2. I am yet to see any evidence Doucoure and Allan can play together in a 2, and Gbamin hasn't shown that either for different reasons.

With the squad we currently have, we're still only a right-back away from being able to play a 4-3-3 pretty well (or well, at least well enough to cobble by).

James central won't work in the Prem. While he's here, he should be right side. This idea that he cost us goals last season when he played there is daft, too, because he didn't, and our best football in about 4 years came at the early stage of last season in a 4-3-3, which happens to get the best out of our attackers and two of our midfielders.
