I don't understand why we're going after players from a team that got relegated to put into a team that nearly got relegated, surely there's better talent out there than proven failures ?

I don't think it is anything to do with being from Burnley as you could argue he should be even better as he is originally a product of Man Utd's academy but then so is Keane lol

Exactly. When I see people say this I think that they understand football less than my mum.

Similar with the argument about how Anthony Gordan isn't good enough - as if he became a finished product in his first year in the first team and we can't expect him to improve his goals and assists in the future.

No of course not but people seem to be concerned that he is coming from relegated Burnley. We got Steven from Burnely after they were relegated from the second to the third division. Good players can come from anywhere.
