From what I've seen so far he's not a great buy. I'll be pleased if he comes good. Seems like a nice lad with good attitude.

He has enough defensively that he'll probably be a useful rotation piece for somebody down the line, and he's young enough that he's a low risk gamble. If he adds some components to his game, sign him back up. If not, move him on.

People need to quit looking at young players like they need to be world-beaters today. All he has to deliver is enough to keep us up comfortably this season, while continuing to develop. It will take at least another summer, and probably two, to have HMS Everton back in the condition it should be in.

Great game today, fair play. Keep it up and he starts week in, week out over Gray, who was just a stopgap solution.

…I think your point is more about whether the monies could’ve been spent on a striker. i’d actually agree with that prioritisation but it doesn’t mean McNeil is a bad acquisition to the squad.
