From what I've seen so far he's not a great buy. I'll be pleased if he comes good. Seems like a nice lad with good attitude.

…I think your point is more about whether the monies could’ve been spent on a striker. i’d actually agree with that prioritisation but it doesn’t mean McNeil is a bad acquisition to the squad.

Its 2 goals for him now as well. We are between 1/3 to 1/4 if the way through the season (bearing in mind he missed the first couple or games). That has him down for 6/7 league goals this season. If he can get anywhere near that, it will be very handy.

I'm pleased for him today. It was a very good move and goal.

He is such a good dribbler I think it’s just a matter of him finding a role in the team. When you lack the blistering pace you have to make up for it with craftiness and I have to say that was some good stuff from he and Iwobi

No coincidence his 2 goals and better play have come from playing him on the his natural left side, plus with DCL back in the team it might be better all round to keep him there or when he is on the pitch get him in that position.

Remember reading on the Burnley forum awhile back that he a confident player and can hide if the players are on his back, I did worry at the time.

Agreed that left side would his better side to whip crosses in to DCL. But he would seem to benefit from playing with a Patterson type full back creating a bit of space for him. Pity they play on opposite sides
