Maybe we should play him at right back while Patterson is out because that’s where he seems to think he plays anyway.
That’s possibly not the worst suggestion. I’d prefer to punt him into the Mersey, but health and safety and criminal law prevents that being possible.

So he cost 20m and is on what? Say 80k a week.

That's an additional 4m every year that he is here, let's get it right and say absolutely no one is going to pay money for this joker, so he could POTENTIALLY end up costing this club 40m.

That's not making anything up, that's facts. He could end up ( like the vast majority of signings under moshiri ) staying here until his contract runs out because no other club in world football is stupid enough to pay money for these players.

No, he was £15 million.

But yes, add up all his wages and he does cost around £35 million.

Not what you said, and you know it.

Not hat you msaid, and you know it.
15m-20m is what it says online, I'll go with 20m because the clauses are most likely ridiculous appearance based ones which he will likely meet.

What did I say? I said he cost 30m, which is what he will end up costing ( at the very least )

The worst panic signing ever. Usually you'd panic and get some loan player in for 6 months, or pick a free transfer on a two-year deal. But not Everton, oh no. £20m, probably £50,000 a week, and a five-year contract. Wow.

Why do we keep spending money on players we can very easily develop?
A slow, one-footed player from our own academy would at least be afforded some patience, and we would then have an extra £15m+ on the type of creative technical player that our academy clearly can't develop.
As soon as I saw he had been selected, I had my doubts - never a winger far too slow - I am sure he played further back for Burnley in a team that was relegated .....

I've been a pretty decent backer of his but I just cannot fathom being a professional footballer and almost literally only use one foot. Theres like 3 people in the world who could get away with it and one was named Robben.
He actually make Robben look fairly two footed. It's gobsmacking

Good question. How much worse off would we be if we had e.g. Kieran Dowell in place of McNeil?
