Seen it a few times now and still can’t tell whether he controls the ball for the second goal, or it comes off the palace player and sits nicely for him.

At first I thought he miss controls it but it still drops nicely for him to poke it home.

He has a goal scorer's instinct. It's the best position for him. Doesn't mean it will always be his best position for the team, but as long as he's productive he needs to play there.

Created more chances than anyone in the league whilst playing for a relegation battle team isnt the definition of average. Last season he was in the top few in the league for chances created and we was rubbish then too.


We have loads of problems as a club, and quite a few positions in dire need of replacements. He isnt one of them.

We’re 6 games in.

Come back to me in 14 games and let’s see where the land lays.

Shifts it from prime bergkamp to a tidy finish.

3 goals and 2 assists in the league already this season. If he keeps chipping in and gets to 10 goals this season that would be massive, given our lack of goals last season.

Even though he’s *very* one footed and runs in treacle, he has the ability and technique to score from outside the box and pick a pass to put people in on goal. He’s much more suited being central to out wide.

…..he does have a tendency to misplace the odd easy pass but he seemed to take the ball more on the spin at times on Saturday.

Its goals in the 6 yard box I’d like him to score more of from that no10 position. It’s hard work, but it means him getting in there when the ball is out wide in the top third. Get the clips out of Lampard when he was playing.

Credit to him, he’s doing a really good job in the new position. Has an eye for a pass and a good dig on him, works hard off the ball as well. McNeil, N’Diaye and DCL if we keep them fit are all good players and there looks more goals in the team this season. If we could get Harrison or Lindstrom to step up on the right we’d be on a good place, that or a relegation forward line. We’ve had way worse and stayed up.

In an era were it is seen as 'statistically not worth it' to shoot from distance.

I just like the fact that he does, he guarantees' a couple of long rangers a season, and we all love them.
