It’s not exactly going after on the cheap. Man Utd put in a bid and we rejected. They then faffed around so much they actually had to overpay for Fellaini.
It would have been a bigger shock if they didn’t come in for any players as managers often do it when they move clubs.

Im getting old but didnt they offer well below the going rate but it was the comment from Moyes that we should have allowed them to leave, i dont think it ended well for Moyes with us and hope he doesnt come back my main query was the ""knows the club " comment that ive read on several posters

Yeah, but that was the opening bid. I doubt he expected it to be accepted and he wasn't making the bids. He was talking in more general terms about their careers. The real problem Man Utd had was Woodward, and he is the main reason they have fallen so far. He did a great job as chief executive
