I'd be interested to see how Dyche fairs with a half decent team and some actual money to spend.

Very strange decision to punt your manager on with only 8 games to go, but footy is a strange game and this could actually give them one final push to save themselves.

That puts us out the running then.

Simeone would be a good replacement, but not sure if Burnley would want to take the gamble considering he's only been doing it for a much smaller club.

You only tend to get a new manager bounce when a team has downed tools for a manager. This isn't the case with Burnley, they just seem to lack quality. It's madness they have sacked him, he would give them the best chance of both staying up and going back up next season and has been one of the best managers in their history. He managed to win a vital game just a week or so ago against us. Then their lack of quality showed against Norwich away, not much he could do about that.

If Dyche was liked in the changing room which he probably was its more likely the players will down tools for the new manager. Can't see a new manager bounce happening who ever they get.

Not sure they have the players to play any differently than how they do. Being solid and nicking one nils was their route to staying up. They’re not about to start playing expansive football with those players.

Clearly looking for a new manager bounce in their relegation battle against us. Nice to be important even if it is for all the wrong reasons. Barmy decision tbh. They are that poor any new Manager would struggle to get a bounce and they have Moyes away next. Would have stood a better chance with Dyche so it suits me just fine.

Seems an amazingly stupid decision.
Hoping for a new manager bounce but sack Dyche and his whole staff 2 days before the next game and leave a first team player and a bunch of nobodies in charge.
They can't afford Benitez or Allardyce regardless of what the media will say to fuel the betting markets.
If they were interested in staying up they should have sacked him at xmas when they'd had about 2 wins and not sold Wood to Newcastle.
