I think it is sarcasm, nobody is saying ditch all the first team players, just tweak it to give us more balance, drop barry for besic, play lennon and mirallas for width and support for lukaku and barkley.

Could you imagine if an Everton manager was to do something similar? The fans would laud him as the best thing since sliced bread and allow him another 10 years attempting to replicate the 'achievement'. Megson ended up being sacked didn't he?

I remember a load of Evertonians lauding Moyes as being some kind of saviour just because we lost a League Cup Semi-Final in 2007. So god knows how they would react to a manager like Steve McClaren, who won Middlesbrough their first trophy in 400 years, and then took them to the final of the Europa League?
