Do us a favour then mate. When we get the result tomorrow, please go and support another team. Your negative opinions are not wanted. Over 1000 of us have payed good money to go and support tommorow. And miserable c***s like you come out with sh*te like that.

Thanks for the suggestion but I think I'll keep on supporting the team as I have done for the last 50 years. Sorry my post upset you and the other traveling supporters so much.

Roberto Martinez insists Everton cannot afford to sit back and let Dynamo Kiev dictate the second leg of their Europa League tie.

And the Blues boss will tell his players to act like the home team and grab the last 16 decider by the scruff of the neck.

Everton take a 2-1 lead into tomorrow night’s tie at the Olympic Stadium following last Thursday night’s come-from-behind victory at Goodison.

Martinez’s men have enjoyed success away from home in the Europa League this season by soaking up pressure and hitting teams on the counter-attack.

But the Catalan is mindful that Everton will have to show different ways to hurt Kiev in Ukraine in order to book their place in the quarter-finals.

The Everton boss says it would be a “big mistake” to allow Kiev, who are unbeaten at home all season, to control proceedings and so will instruct his players to be on the front foot from the first whistle.

Asked why no side has won at the Olympic Stadium so far this season, Martinez said: “The two big teams they have are Dnipro and Shakhtar and they were very close games.

“Against Shakhtar it was only one dead ball situation that was the difference between the two sides.

“What Dynamo have done really well is that they are a team happy to be on the ball and to break you down.

“If you allow that to happen you’re in for a long, long 90 minutes.

“The individuals of Yarmolenko, Veloso, Buyalskiy, Kravets, Mbokani and Antunes, they enjoy being on the ball and breaking you down, so as well as we have to defend we have to create our own problems.

“We have to be attack minded and when we are on the ball, we need to be a team that wants to score goals and make it very much eye to eye and an open game.

“That’s what I’m looking for tomorrow, that we can make it a game full of chances for us and, of course, that will bring chances for them.

“I don’t want it to be a game where they are a home team, and let them see if they can break us down. That would be a big mistake.”

Martinez went on to say: “Tomorrow is not just one aspect of our play. We will have to counter attack well, this team is very well structured their positional play is about getting through the lines and into the final third, we will have to defend well and keep the ball well.

"You can’t cope with just giving them the ball and hitting them on the counter. It is a performance that we will have to be very good in all the good aspects we have shown in the season.

"But we are really excited. As you know there are not many British teams left in Europe, never mind this competition which shows how difficult it is progress so far and we just look forward as being as far as we can in Europe.”

A draw will be enough for Everton to go through to Friday’s draw for the last eight but Martinez is adamant the Blues must go out to win the second leg.

“I think we need to play the game in isolation,” he added.

“I don’t think we should play the game as if it is a second leg of any knockout competition.

“Dynamo Kiev are unbeaten at home, they are a very strong team, they have exceptional individuals.

“I thought we saw at Goodison that players like Yarmolenko, Veloso and Antunes, they have real good experience.

We want to play the way we have been playing in Europe away from home and making sure for 80 minutes we try to win the game and then for the last 10 minutes if you want to keep the scoreline in mind, then it is a bit different.

“We would never come out trying to protect the lead, or trying to go out and… we will try to be ourselves. We have played really strong teams away from home and we did really well in this competition. It is the same approach.”

Kiev 1-0 Everton

Yarmolenko 87'

Ha Ha.

That crossed my mind too.

Interesting him saying about the need to not just counter attack against this lot. I wonder if Mirallas was fit whether he wouldn't have seen him as the wrong choice to start anyway?

I can't decide whether his 80+ mins comment is daft or a sign he's showing more pragmatism with experience. Anyway, I'd like to see us dominating the ball early and then play on the counter if we get an early goal.

I think Mirallas would have started if he was fit, even if he thrives more countering at pace he's still one of our most deadly players.

Maybe, but he doesn't put much effort in going the other way. He'd have been great to have had to call off the bench though against tiring opposition.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Hopefully players like Atsu and Barkley can have that effect for us off the bench tomorrow.

Granted I'd like Barkley to start, but I think it'll be a McCarthy-Barry-Besic midfield.

Can't wait. Hope everyone who travelled today got there safely and are being welcomed by all and those who travel tomorrow get there safe and sound. Have a fantastic time and hopefully you will be singing the lads on to a famous Everton victory. COYB 2-0 to us and 4-1 on agg

I'd go:

Joel
Coleman Stones Jagielka Baines
McCarthy Barry
Atsu Barkley Mirallas
Lukaku

Martinez will go:

Howard
Coleman Stones Jagielka Baines
Barry
McCarthy Besic
Lukaku----Naismith----Mirallas
Edit in light of Mirallas being out

I'd go:

Joel
Coleman Stones Jagielka Baines
McCarthy Barry
Atsu Barkley McGeady/Osman
Lukaku

Martinez will go:

Howard
Coleman Stones Jagielka Baines
Barry
McCarthy Besic
McGeady----Lukaku----Naismith

I haven't got a clue how we'll line up to be honest, neither in personnel nor formation.

I've just typed out a few different combinations, then gave up and deleted them all.
