I need a bucket. The Times has an article today about the favourite football grounds of its columnists. Alyson Rudd has chosen Anfield.....one of them had to. Im sorely tempted to send it into Pseuds Corner of "Private Eye"...and well might do as a subscriber. No doubt they can find a wall to fit it on over the park ...bet they spell her name wrong.

Tottenham Hotspur’s state-of-the-art stadium won rave reviews at the weekend after it opened to fans for the first time. It has been a long wait for Spurs fans, with the club spending almost two seasons at Wembley during the construction, but the reviews of those who saw it during a test event yestwww.thetimes.co.uk
Anfield
At a rather hippie ante-natal class when pregnant with my first child, we were told to lie down and summon the colour that made us happy. Red and green popped into my head; the colours of Anfield. It was the first stadium I ever visited and I suppose the last one I’d want to see before I die. I fainted on my first taste of the Kop and had to be carried out via the men’s toilets. You can’t manufacture experiences like that. The flags, the songs, the intensity, the emotion, the connection. I have to blink away the tears every time.
Jesus....make it stop.

Maybe I should write a load of ornate purple prose about seeing Southall, Unsworth, Parkinson et al in the flesh for the first time.I've seen her a couple of times on that Sunday supplement, she really is a weirdo, when she talks about footy she does it in riddles, where you're like "WTF is she on about" saying that, she's a RS so that's the norm, she probably sits in her bedroom writing poems about her RS heroes.
Sorry, Mister. I am just looking out for my brothers on the forum. I like to think we're all one big happy family here.Problem? You’re on thin ice as it is, not that anyone was asking you anyway.
