What's happened to you
I accepted early this season that City had failed to prioritise a title defence.

You cant do what they've set out to do without something giving way...and the most likely competition for it to give way in is a 38 game one.

If Guardiola is there next season he'll succeed in taking it back. Not much consolation in that though.

Pretty much this. I hate them, lord knows I hate them and all they stand for, but all bias aside the current incarnation of the devil's soldiers are a very good football team. At this point, we can only hope Manchester City have the legs in them to keep on winning, and there is another April Slippy G moment, the 2019 version.

They gave the ball away today countless times, and their keeper looks as nervous as hell.... They relied yet again today on other factors aiding them...
Are they a good side?, yes
a very good side? Not lately
Are they the best team in the league? No way.
Will they win the league despite that? Very possibly

They're more vunerable but I'm sure the rs can't keep getting last minute wins, they'll drop points against someone awful.

My only benefit from this season is that we will be more dangerous than them next season.

They seem to be doing a good impression of a team who isn't mate.

They will rest against Brighton, and I imagine Warnock will play a heavily weakened team Tuesday, so more time to rest lads up.

Thats 2 weeks for the likes of De Bruyne, Fernandino, Stones & Kompany to get fit and Aguero to get over any niggle.

With those lads back in, they are the best team in the country by a mile, including against Manchester United (who I suspect will stick out a weakened team against them given the CL priority, same with Spurs).

Liverpool have Chelsea (who are to prioritising the EL) and I also think Southampton, Wolves and Newcastle as potential slip up opportunities. I know they'll make a lot of the Benitez thing, but I'm pretty sure he's taken a lot of points off them recently (especially there). I imagine they will slip up in more than one of those games.

This weekend, is just another weekend ticked off for City, who had an away game, where they have also upped the goal difference.

Spurs look finished to me this season. City will run through them in the league, and Spurs will rest up for the CL.

One thing which would be helpful is Watford defeating Wolves. Keep their interest in the season for 7th up. Wolves also have a great record against the top teams this season and have turned Liverpool over once already.

I sense Barcelona give them a hammering (I'm hoping United don't do anything stupid there) in the semi finals and they lose the league by 3-4 points. Another season of nothing in spite of spending more than anyone else in Europe.

They'll drop points, but not enough of them. I see City losing a couple.

Well, if City win 7 and lose one, I'd be very hopeful they'll be crowned champions. But the games they play look difficult against good opposition. I'd even see Leicester at home as a difficult one.

City have the point advantage again after Wednesday, but they need at least 6 more to go with it because Liverpool wont drop many more points now.

The CL is well beyond them like. They're not a great team and will be blown away by Barcelona.

Leicester? No chance

How can City win 7 and lose 1 when they only have 7 games left?

Not a chance in hell they don't drop points before the end of the season.

City should win all their games anyway. Uniteds hearts wont be in it and they're still not that great tbh. Jones, smalling and young against sterling, aguero and de bruyne can only result in at least two City goals.

Liverpools small squad is starting to bite, those four extra CL games will cost them dear.
