Well there's another CL win for them tonight. They'll finish United off with ease at the Nou Camp...and that was a tie Liverpool would have struggled in.

They're not my cup of team style-wise, but they are clinical. I think this Barceleona team deserve a bit of respect than you're giving them. They'll take anything on offer from Liverpool when they face them. Liverpool will not get beyond the SFs. You can count on that.

You started off from the position that a team as good as Barcelona, on the cusp of a historic treble, is not a formidable problem for Liverpool.

They toyed with a United team that would hand Liverpool more than they could handle if they actually got through instead.

I'm sorry, but if your starting position is nonsensical then it's hard to recover from that.

Under Valverde Barcelona are actually an extremely well drilled defensive unit. They’re not as good on the eye as previous seasons but locking down that defence and having Messi up top is never a bad strategy. If they play like they did tonight at Anfield then they’ll progress comfortably.

So, it’s a nonsense to suggest they’ll have a chance? Was it nonsense to suggest Bayern were cack before they played them? Again, if someone has a different to yours there’s no need to be patronising.

Suarez should have scored too.

I cant see them slipping up against Liverpool. Liverpool have struggled all season against very good opposition who can keep the ball.

How can Barca be on the cusp of a historic treble when there are four teams who the bookies have on virtually the same odds.

Barca have conceded 31 goals from 31 games in La Liga . That is 10 more than Atletico and even 4 more than Getafe.

Points per game and bookmakers odds are based on statistics that is what is probably annoying you Dave. Why bother with facts and figures when you can pontificate and spout nonsense which you state with absolute certainty. Only to go off a tangent when your certainties fail to happen.

Instead of learning your lesson and acting with a bit of humility and admitting you were wrong, you then come out with your next statement of fact.

I await your appearance on mastermind where your specialised subject will of course be absolutely everything, when you get nil points you will then apply for 15 to one with absolute certainty that you will get every question right.

I don't have a problem with you stating that Barca are a good team and having a good chance of beating the redshite and winning the Champions League but why pretend that it is foregone conclusion. The Champions League is incredibly difficult to win so to state with certainty who will win it is absurd.

The most annoying thing though is that we all know that you come up the outcome you want and then work backwards and pad out your argument with half truths to justify your absolute faith in your beliefs. Basically by saying that Barca are on the cusp of a historic treble you have written off the chances of both City and Juve. The thing is we all know that if either of them were in the same half as the cult you would be saying they were nailed on to win the Champions League.

As for the insinuation that I am a Liverpool supporter I have been a long time lurker on here and that seems to be your general retort to anyone who questions your profound wisdom. In short mate you are an embarrassment to both our Club and a sad reflection on our fan base but they ho that doesn't compare to the ego trip you get from your internet persona.
