Probably the one and only thing me and our kid agree on is Everton, so it’s safe territory for us. He rang me earlier as their match was on and what he said put things in perspective for me. It went along the lines of......remember when you were eighteen and I was twenty how much we argued about which one of us hated the RS the most after they last won the league? Usual fight and reason why.
How much do you reckon then....that now I’m nearly 50 and you aren’t far behind, that it’s been nearly 30 years since we last had to face the embarrassment of them coming close again? I”d have bitten his hand off....and he mine. In those 29 years...I’ve filled my boots at their arrogance and simply laughed in their face when you remember what they were.
We ain’t been great in this period, I know that.....but on the other hand, I’ve never once proclaimed it’ll be Next Year. But back to our kid, it’s only when I appreciate how young I was then and where I am now do I fully appreciate how long it’s been for them. They are horrible losers and even worse winners......I genuinely hope nobody has to go through what I went through as a kid. Generations since haven’t. TFFT.

I keep thinking Burnley could be a difficult one but then I take a step back and think how much better City are and how focused they'll be, it calms the nerves.
I couldn't take Sean Dyche causing them to win the league. It'd be too much. He's already up there in my hate list.

Their fans always have and will be self centred egotistical bells. But they’re a very good team and any other season they’d be champions by now. I’m NEA to give klopp credit, aside from his antics he’s a very good manager and I just hope a big team come calling
