ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Just think on this for a second:

Imagine being a Wimbledon or a Coventry fan and knowing that odds are you'll never see your team play European football as a direct consequence of the actions of Liverpool fans.

Imagine being a Sheffield Wednesday fan and knowing that your club missed out on European football twice because of that club and its fans.

Those fans and that club have directly harmed, and in some cases, irrevocably damaged so many others through their behaviour and yet nothing is ever said about it. The media just shrug off the endless list of chaos and carnage caused by Liverpool FC and its fans.

This latest thing of them acting like animals, pushing old men into fountains and generally behaving like Neanderthals is nothing in the grand scheme of things. They've done so much worse in the very recent past and yet its always gone unpunished so why should it matter now?

They've been allowed to get away with this type of behaviour for far to long and everyone around them has to pay the price for it. This is learned behaviour, they know that they can do as they want and will face no consequences so they don't care. Until they are given the proper and deserved punishment, they will never learn to behave themselves like actual human beings.
And Oxford, likely to be their one and only chance to play in Europe.

Hurt is not just physical. Though it quite easily could have been here. Some poor old smallish guy going about his business trying to earn a living gets taken out by surprise by someone in a large herd - bullying at it's most base. It's just an absolutely loathsome thing to do. And then they'll wonder why no one is laughing like the rest of the braying hyenas who were there.

I hope for everyone's sake that everything passes off peacefully from here on in.
Depending on the characters of the men who were victimised by the kult on tour, that could easily ruin someone's life, an act like that. Thery're not young men who can just laugh it off or put it down to being in the wrong place at the wrong time with another bunch of teenagers/young men; they were two mature men who were assaulted and humiliated by other *adult* men in front of the watching world...and there was basically nothing they could do about it unless they were prepared to be battered by a mob.

The evidence is there and plain as a pikestaff. The perpetrators should be easy to find and punish.

Liverpool chief executive Peter Moore tweeted: "We proudly sing that we've conquered all of Europe. But let's treat this beautiful city with the respect that it deserves, and act in a manner that is befitting of LFC."

We're in the presence of a master of irony here.

They should be easier then the scum who attack City's bus, that's for sure, let's hope this time they are found

To be honest, I despair about behaviour like this. It's just rubbish. The sheer callowness or disregard for another person is awful. There's a guy slogging it out trying to make a living and that happens. Poor sod. Just for a cheap laugh from some other no-marks. I hope the perpetrator is suitably dealt with.

Those two men (or "Mr Miyagi" and "the Gypo" as the Kopites have dehumanised them with) will get the offer of being guests at a game at Anfield or something like that...which, of course, will square the injustice of being made to look like fools in front of their loved ones and the rest of the watching world.

Only a few months ago your 'fans' were causing rucks with Millwall 'fans' wasn't it? Like I say, every club had its elements. Difference is im not daft enough to tar an entire supporter base with the same brush. But on you go.
Remember when someone threw a pint on the floor in lille and you lot likened it to heysel, it's not the behaviour of a few, it's the defence of the red scum on mass that gets me.
