ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I can’t think of another club who would go to the Nou Camp, lose 3-0 (could have been more) have a couple of shots on target but probably only one gilt edged chance (which came from a Barca mistake clearing one of their hoofs), and then send their 20 year old full back who has done nothing in the game out to a press conference to tell the worlds media how they dominated Barca at the Nou Camp. Like who at the club thought that was a good idea?

That whole club for me was summed up by their CEO tweeting about ‘dominating europe’ and ‘We are liverpool’ in what should have been an apology for wreaking havoc on yet another European City. Their whole club from top to bottom reeks of arrogance and have ingrained that as their culture through the propagation of propaganda reinforcing this as the party line not to be crossed by an employee or any media acolyte associated with the club.
Absolutely perfectly put mate

Honestly couldn't put it any better. As soon as Barca put out United all you heard was how Liverpool had nothing to fear, how Mo Salad and Mane were the best attack in Europe. How not even Vidic or Terry could compare to Van Dijk. They had to find a way to spin a 3-0 loss that could have EASILY been 4 or 5-0 after saying all of that. Cause you know, they're the Reds la. FIVE TIMES.

It’s pure self importance based on a period of success (and it was a great success) 30 years ago. Nobody has ever denied them having that success, it’s the fact they act like it’s their right. It’s embarrassing and they can’t see it, nor will they ever. It’s a cult, a real functioning cult

Utd have dominated British football for the past 20 years, they haven’t acted a millionth of the way the RS have, yet they’d have more of a claim with current history on their side

The issue will never go away as the media is, and will continue, to push the narrative that they’re the greatest thing to grace these isles. Everything the club does which is negative gets swept under the carpet and anything negative gets said about the club is pushed.

So after a lengthy chat with my RS mate on the phone this is how it should go.....

Him "If Man City do win the league by one point then it shouldn't stand"

Me "What do you mean, it shouldn't stand?"

Him "Because it wouldn't be fair if there was only one point in it"

Me "Well it would be fair because they got one more point than you. I bet if you won it by one point we wouldn't be having this conversation"

Him "We would"

Me "Hahahah, so what's the solution" (I knew he was going to come out with some crap)

Him "The premier league should play a 2 legged tie home and away between us and Man City, winner gets the title"

Me, drops phone on floor because I'm shaking uncontrollably with laughter.

I assume you've done the right thing and are no longer friends?

It's wonderful atm: they're getting a can of whoop-ass opened up on them tonight and binned in the CL; then on Sunday we'll see the tears flow on the Kop as they get their pat on the haed from the media and the door shut in their mutant gobs by City.

Not getting all my hopes up but it really is all coming together nicely. Hopefully we'll see a few comments from Klopp about financial fairplay after Sunday.
