£142 including add ons, and those prob wont be paid.
Bloody hell at Bournemouth there. I hope when the rs go down there, they take the Bournemouth transfer people out for a nice meal to say thanks. Ibe and Solanke for 34 million. That's Salah paid for right there.

Should have added to @Pabbers original post there. But aye carumba. Bournemouth, what are you doing?!?

Does this include any of the insane agents fees that the rs pay (we do too, I'm not happy with any team paying them)?

Spurs should be an inspiration to clubs like ours.

Ten years ago they had a midtable team and a small, antiquated stadium.

Now look at them.
They are, the blue prints are there of how to do things. Moshiri doesent want to follow that route for some reason.
Levy has always been a no nonsense owner he won't he would rather stick someone in the reserves rather then sell him for cheap and if he wanted 200m for kane wouldnt sell until he got the full amount.
You have to admire him for that

Has he done that with anyone??

Love how the RS at work seem irked that three other English teams have qualified for the European finals and dared to take away their two weeks or so of media fluffing from them as in reality they are just another finalist. They thought it was going to be all about them.
It will be mate just you wait till it gets nearer to the final, be good time to go on hols.

Ffs get off your high horse...... klopp moved into a club with a garage full of dusty multi million pound footballers to sell.....all within a good age.

The Rodgers before him spent £300m on 33 players!!! He sold £190m worth including players like Andy Carroll who never showed as a negative against his spend but a positive in his sales.... being a Dalglish signing.

Liverpool have stockpiled some players and Klopp reaped the benefits from selling other managers players and inheriting some decent ones left over..... it's what happens when a club has continually spent 100's of millions chasing their first title in near 30 years
People always pay money for their crap tho
Ings and solanke have already got them 40m.

pure dross but they will get big money for them

Barcelona have put together a package worth a basic fee of £106m, plus a further £36m in variables, of which £26m should be easily met. After the £105m basic, an additional £17m would be payable for the first 100 games Coutinho plays for Barcelona, £4.4m per 25 games. A further £4.4m would be paid for Champions League qualification in the first two seasons with a £4.4m bonus for winning the competition.

Source

Also FYI, it is £142m. And not €142m.

And eitherways, they bought him for £8m something.

Coutinho won't play 100 games for Barcelona. He will be sold before he reaches it guaranteed. They haven't won the Champions League this season, and definitely won't next season. So they definitely won't be getting close to £146m.

Oh and £146m is about £100m overpriced - he's bang average.

As the previous poster alluded to which i replied to, his post showed the net spends of both clubs being low.

Those 2 signings you point out were bought from the funds they got from Coutinho, if they were not then why is Klopps net spend at £50 million since he's been there when those 2 players cost £75 million and £65 million which is £140 million combined.

You do understand that Chelsea and City spent that money with hardly selling anyone, do you know that City's net spend in the last 4 seasons is, over £500 million, Pep's net spend alone in the last 4 transfer windows is almost £400 million when he bought 2 GK's 5 defenders Gundogan Mahrez Bernardo, with hardly any players of value sold.

United in the same time span is just under £500 million with Mourinho.

Abramovich first transfer window in summer 2004 when Mourinho just arrived they spent around £250 million net signing Cech, Robben,Drogba , Carvalho, Duff, SWP, Kezman, Ferriera, Makelele.

I hope you understand the terms of net spend and financial doping now mate.
This seems to translate as 'We (they) spend about the same in terms of wages and transfers, but they don't have to or won't sell their players'

Liverpool sell their best players because bigger clubs come along and pay top dollar for them, in the same way that Liverpool waltz up to Southampton/Roma and take their best players.

The fact is that historically Chelsea and now City, if they want a Liverpool player could take them...Same with Real and Barcelona.

Get lucky that a once in a generation striker came out of the academy at exactly the same time they’d just received a huge windfall from selling their best player and the top 6 were in such disarray that their nearest title challengers were Leicester and Arsenal?

I agree that they're dross but cant see them getting big money for any of them.

Shaqiri is on about 100k a week. Nobody will match that so think he'll see his contract out.

Lallana is 31 and only has one year left. Think he's going to be another one who slips away for free.

Origi - tbf I think hes ok and with Sturridge (another free!) leaving in the summer it would leave liverpool short. With just one year left I can see him using this as leverage to secure a lucrative contract.

Clyne- another one with just a year left on his contract. Had injury problems and isnt that young.

Harry Wilson is hopeless but unfortunately has signed an unmatchable contract at liverpool, keeping him there until 2023. Liverpool wont even get compo for him.

Not sure what a Ryan Kent is. Grujic is doing worse than Keira in the Bundesliga.

That's a lot of talent that could literally never play another first team game between then and all leave for nothing.

The coutinho sale papered over a LOT of cracks. It's a shame really. Especially if they end this season potless.

They were guaranteed £122m even before he held up the Barcelona shirt at Camp Nou. As of today, they are guaranteed £132m out of the £142m. The £10m coming from the clause with 100 games and winning the champuions league. So its not exactly "nowhere near £142".

The only part we agree is, he is not worth more than £50m and thats being generous. He has become average in a team consisting of Suarez and Messi.

I remember Tim Sherwood, when talking about the rivalry between Portsmouth and Southampton, saying something along the lines of:

"The Pompey-Saints rivalry is different to other derby matches. For instance, I've seen Everton fans wearing their replica Everton shirts in Liverpool. A Southampton fan wouldn't dare go into Portsmouth wearing a Saints shirt."

In other words: he has no idea that we're a Liverpool-based club.

Tim Sherwood isnt the brightest bulb though is he?

Yesterday I heard from one of the Manson's: "Not one Spurs player would get into the Liverpool team".

I'd say it's more like this...

Joint Spurs-Liverpool team:

Lloris

Trippier Alderweireld VVD Robertson

Ericksen Henderson Alli

Salah Kane Mane
