ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Interestingly, the only players that started over 6ft for the RS this week were GK, 2 CDs and the Brazilian fella in the Mid. What is your point? I’m genuinely confused. Your point is somewhat lost in that fact.

My point was originally around following a blueprint to success like Liverpool or Spurs have but what is that? They’ve gone and spent money on big powerful players whichever way you look at it.

City are the outliers to this. Even then though they’ve had to employ the world best manager and have had some of the absolute top technicians in world football in the Silvas Aguero Fernandinho etc. just to stay slightly ahead of teams that have players like Henderson Milner Wijnaldum Wanyama Sissoko Diet in them. You can argue all you want but no one can say that any of those 6 names is a good midfield technician. What they’re good at is physically imposing them self on the game and shutting space down.

That seems to be the way the game is going now though. I think the cycle that Pep’s Barca kicked off back in 09 and Zidane’s Madrid finished recently is coming to and end and we’ll see a reemergence of the defence heavy kick and rush football dominating that we saw in the mid 2000s.

They are, the blue prints are there of how to do things. Moshiri doesent want to follow that route for some reason.
Levy has always been a no nonsense owner he won't he would rather stick someone in the reserves rather then sell him for cheap and if he wanted 200m for kane wouldnt sell until he got the full amount.
You have to admire him for that
Shame Southampton didn't do that, instead the bowed down to a club that was gloating about illegally tapping up their player, transfer doping at its best.

Yesterday I heard from one of the Manson's: "Not one Spurs player would get into the Liverpool team".

I'd say it's more like this...

Joint Spurs-Liverpool team:

Lloris

Trippier Alderweireld VVD Robertson

Ericksen Henderson Alli

Salah Kane Mane

would defo have Alexander Arnold over Trippier and Allison over Lloris....not sure Hendo would get in tho!

Love how the RS at work seem irked that three other English teams have qualified for the European finals and dared to take away their two weeks or so of media fluffing from them as in reality they are just another finalist. They thought it was going to be all about them.
I wonder how many hilarious jokes have been made about Harry Kane stealing things.

Also, Son and Kane would walk into the Liverpool team.

As ive already said :

Daniel Levy is considered the benchmark when it comes to running a club.

Levy/Joe Lewis took over at Spurs in 2000 when they were a team who finished 10th on average, it took them 8 years to win a trophy, it took them 11 years to break the CL, it took them 19 years and counting to build a Stadium, it took them 14 years to get a good manager.

So hes not doing that badly so far.

:coffee::coffee::coffee:

I go away 3 days before the final. Yippee
I'm away for the final, however here's the downside, I fly back from Alicante and arrive in Liverpool about 13 30 on the Sunday., this flight surprisingly filled up Tuesday night, so I expect vermin to be breathing the same air as me. This forced me to pay for allocated seats,£39, just in case I had to sit with one of them.
Another nightmare scenario is if they win and our plane lands around the same time as the team plane, arghhhhh.

They hired a top quality manager who then went out and recruited big tall fast players. Exactly the same as what Liverpool did. We hired a Dutch fraud who went out and wasted money on slow short weak players.

Silva seems to be rectifying that a bit with Mina Richarlison Zouma all the right profile.

As we’ve seen this week though, continental footballing teams have no answer to premier eagle teams with 6 foot 4 giants running incredibly fast for 90 minutes.
What about Bernard? He's tiny! He's even smaller than Baines!
