Sometimes you do reach a bit but I agree with you here. There's something very weird about Liverpool supporters. No other football fans behave like them, not here anyway. Not even United fans, and anyone who grew up in the '90s knows how arrogant they were. Put it this way, there was a website making fun of all 20 PL teams, us included, and on Liverpool's page they had to have a disclaimer and stress that they were just joking, were making fun of all clubs etc. so they didn't get abuse off Liverpool fans. They're not like Millwall or West Ham, they don't have the skinhead/far right element, but there's an element among their fanbase who are...scary. I don't know why this is or what it is about Liverpool that brings this out in people.

The ones on Tumblr are mental. I've mentioned in the past that a couple of them got me banned from the Football Confessions blog over a confession I submitted about the 'Everton wives, run for your lives' joke. I didn't say ALL Liverpool fans thought DV was funny, but they got offended and claimed I was only ever nice about Everton and slagged off all other teams (which isn't true, I submitted a confession saying I admired Arsene Wenger, for instance), and the kopite mod banned me. I've seen confessions slagging off Barcelona, Spurs and United fans but Liverpool fans? Untouchable.

My brother is a massive blue and he had Hodgkin's lymphoma a couple of years ago. He survived, but it was a horrible time for our family. I'm sure other blues on here have lost family to cancer as well. This is really disgusting. I'd never wish cancer on someone just for supporting a football team.
 
Now that the dust has settled I'm thinking about it all with a clear head, and I just can't help feel for them, you know? If they'd have had just an ounce of luck this season they'd almost certainly have got the extra two points they needed to win that much coveted title.

It's "nonsense" to mention they came second. There's no difference between 1st and 2nd place when you push the eventual winners all the way. They've actually bought into it.
