The City treble will take the back pages next week.

Then the birds World Cup kicks in after the CL final and the BBC will have to be all over that as it's the only live footy they seem to have.

Man United will dominate the transfer window and Southgates England are in some competition apparently later on..

Charity Shield and then we are off again.

Easy summer on the cards
I cant even be arsed watching the "Champions" League final; it's so far after the season it's an afterthought. I hope they get pasted by Spurs, obvioulsy. But the main prize has gone and this has all the feel of 'after the Lord Mayor's parade' about it. Two English PL teams having a private argument.

The Copa America will be the next footy event I get worked up about. 3 years since it was played and I'm looking forward to it. 14th June - 7th July.

I don’t understand half the posts here

Not only because English is not native to me and I am not a local but also I don’t really have that kind of anger / rivalry with LFC? I hate them too but purely in football terms and occasionally their fans. Is it really just a local thing ? And is it that bad ?
Not bad English though mate.
You’re defo a red

Mate, stuff like this makes us look daft, given that we haven’t won it for even longer than they have. Just gives their fans ammunition to have a pop at us.
But we don't keep breaking world records on players in order to win nowt.

It doesn't. They've spent billions and declare themselves a global force. If you do that you have to produce. They haven't...for 30 years.

True, there is that.

However, given that we’ve been pretty hopeless for so long, I’d sooner keep a low profile and refrain from crowing about them not winning the league and stuff. Obviously, it hasn’t always been this way. Things were very different in, say, the Eighties. We were successful in own right and held our own with them. In those days, I felt entirely comfortable giving as good as I got.
