ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

True, there is that.

However, given that we’ve been pretty hopeless for so long, I’d sooner keep a low profile and refrain from crowing about them not winning the league and stuff. Obviously, it hasn’t always been this way. Things were very different in, say, the Eighties. We were successful in own right and held our own with them. In those days, I felt entirely comfortable giving as good as I got.
I expect nothing off Everton. I know they'll underachieve because we have a shower of chimps in charge of the club and have done for years. My season isn't ruined by Everton winning nothing. My season can still be enjoyable by seeing a putrid organisation like Liverpool fail.

They were paupers though. Paupers vs der oil clubz. Paupers who broke two world record fees and spent more in one year than any club in history.
They'll be comforting themselves today with the thought City could have a punishment from UEFA over spending. It'll hand them conclusive evidence that they are fighting the good fight on all other clubs' behalf "against modern football".

Let's face it: they much preferred to finish 2nd as it allows them maximum scope for victimhood.

I can see Tottenham beating them, the pressure will be enormous.
For me Klopp loses finals because he tries too hard to look and be relaxed. It has the complete opposite affect on his teams. You could see it last year against Madrid.
Like a dog senses when you’re hyped up they become hyped themselves. They will waste loads of energy in the build up their fans and the press will give them. If you don’t have the right frame of mind in a final you’re doomed, especially being favourites and your cult following thinking it’s a walk in the park.
Tottenham on their day and when they are up for it are excellent, there’ll be no pressure on them at all.

I read a bit about heysel and I don’t know why it’s not given any footage when compared to hillsborough...was it normal back then? Football hooliganism ?
