ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Zartan, I'm venting here because I can't bloody do it anywhere else except Bluemoon, and to my stepfamily, who I don't see often. I can't do it on Facebook because I'll just get whinged at, one of my close friends has a huge crush on Klopp, and a lot of my friends couldn't care less about football. I'm not going to go out and punch a Liverpool supporter but when you've had abuse off them for years, and one of them calls you nasty names for calling Suarez a racist, it's hard not to be annoyed.
Hope spurs show them no Respecto
I hope Pochettino uses Salah's shirt as a hankie.

When were you growing up? Because as far back as i can go it's always been the same and in the late 70s it was worse. You might think differently as a redman.

Yep I'd like to know how far back we are going here @Zartan to when it wasn't so bad because as far as I'm concerned they've been insufferable knobheads for years.

I grew up in the 70s. It was nothing like it is now, in my opinion. There certainly wasn’t the venom and hatred, from both sides, that there is now. Yes, them crowing about winning things and ramming it down our throats was a pain in the bum, but that’s football, isn’t it?

I grew up in the '90s and it was bad enough then, but the United fans were the worst. Social media has a lot to answer for though. Facebook is vile. I'm including Evertonians in there because there are some proper knobheads, like people attacking an African kopite with crap like 'go back to your mud hut', evidently forgetting how many Africans we've had in our squad and that not all Africans live in mud huts. Or the Turks who throw a hissyfit every time Tosun gets benched.

So did I, they were just as cocky, arrogant and self--obsessed then as they are now.

And whose fault do you think that is?

I think blues and reds alike are responsible. There’s knobheads on both sides and all the social media crap you get these days doesn’t help. It’s an unpopular opinion but I simply don’t buy into Heysel being the sole reason.

You never grew up in Liverpool then.

Oh look, not just Sean Cox, it's about Hillsborough now as well:

FFS.
"Martin Cox believes City’s failure to condemn the chant has made the matter worse."

Whereas the RS's failure to condemn the Steau Bucharest flags at Anfield makes a mockery of what happened at Heysel. That's OK though because those that died were Johnny Foreigners.

Hypocrites, every last one of them.
