ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

The RS should be investigated for the transfer fees they receive. Despite us being in the age of transfer madness where inflation has gone through the roof, they have somehow managed to transcend that to the point where they are effectively stealing money from other clubs.

I would not be surprised, in the slightest, if they get £25m for Harry Wilson this summer. In fact, I'd be amazed if they don't.

They do receive insane amount of money but not sure that’s a crime to be investigated. If there are mad clubs paying mad money, they will milk em

I suspect your previous comment regarding agent fees has something to do with this actually. Liverpool paid £43.8 million in agent fees, nearly 20m more than anyone else last year.

There is surely no reason for the fees to be this high unless they have agents out there going above and beyond what they're supposed to be doing for players. I'd like to know how much Liverpool paid Coutinho's agent to facilitate that act of grand theft when he was transferred to Barca for more than £140 million...

"Hello this is Eddie Howe, I have 25 million in used non-sequential notes. What have you got in a young Englishman?"

Could those agent fees be a way of financially doped clubs like Liverpool getting around FFP?

I can't think of any reason why any club would spend over £40m in one year on scumbag agents unless it was for duplicitous reasons.
To be fair, I thought it was just a way to syphon cash into manager's pockets in the worst instances. But maybe my lack of knowledge of grift, vice and general financial trickery is what is limiting my imagination.

I think that was the Allardyce modus operandi. The amounts Liverpool are paying these crooks though goes way beyond that.

Loads of fake tickets for the CL final getting sold in the city. RS are buying them knowing they will get them passed the first few ticket checks outside the stadium.

I've been to a few Spanish stadiums and if you can get anywhere near the turnstyles they will be bunking in easy enough.

The said idiot cannot comprehend that they have still spent half a billion pounds to win bugger all . Whichever way the money was raised

Half a billion? Doesn’t matter how it was raised?

Our Transfers in

2011-12. 6.5m
2012-13. 19.5m
2013-14. 28.5m
2014-15. 36m
2015-16. 44m
2016-17. 77m
2017-18. 183m
2018-19. 90m

Total. 484m spent, nearly half a billion. Whichever way the money was raised, we’ve still spent it.
