Loads of fake tickets for the CL final getting sold in the city. RS are buying them knowing they will get them passed the first few ticket checks outside the stadium.

I've been to a few Spanish stadiums and if you can get anywhere near the turnstyles they will be bunking in easy enough.

i know a few who did that in Athens, they organised attack on the entrance, when I pointed out how funny it was that the real fans where left outside crying, their response was, f&%£ing wools.

Not really, the best sides in Europe always used to find their way to the finals of this tournament in the early days of the CL after it changed from the European cup but what we’re seeing now is that the demands of modern football with the fixtures and the standard required to win leagues is too much to balance all comps now. So we’re seeing a lot of teams who can give up the league campaign going far in the CL. Doesn’t seem a fitting way for me to crown champions of Europe.

The fact that neither ‘Champions League’ finalists have won their domestic league in the last 30 years says it all really.

before i get called bitter blue and all that, it lost all credibility in 2005 when a team not even good enough to finish above a team with marcus bent up front "won" it, and UEFA didn't even have the foresight to have a rule in place for the possibility of a winner not being good enough to qualify for it.

Like you say, it's supposed to be the best team in europe but everyone knows the best team in europe is never actually the champion anymore, it's lost all prestige and to me any romance seeing as you have a core of about 16 teams who are in it every year. It's dull now, you end up with the same teams playing each other every couple of years it seems. Just get the actual champions and a couple of second placed teams in there and have a real competition.

As much as I'd hate to see it your statement above makes a good case for this European Super league does it not?

Not in recent history. I judge it as per the player transfers - will a hot prospect like say for eg De ligt choose Arsenal over CFC, MUFC, LFC or City ? No chance I think.

If the cl was set out as you want it Barca would win it every year with ease and it would be a bore fest.

Not really, the big 2 are the league and the cl. Then there's a big gap and the 2 domestic cups the fa cup has now basically become as significant as the league cup.
The top 4 should be able to play league and cl games pretty easily, using squad players for the 2 domestic cups
