They literally broke 2 world records in 1 transfer window...
You need to get out more often. It really isn’t though. I go on a Liverpool board, and I talk you to mates, work colleagues and family that are reds.
I’ve barely seen anything to suggest anyone is upset, and it’s barely been talked about in person, but when it has been it’s been in relation the impact on the city/waterfront which is generally seen as positive.
Most people think it looks good too.
There are differences between how we’re viewing it to how you guys are, obviously.
Your excitement is understandable but is also clouding judgement a bit when people are saying it’ll lead to top players joining and it’ll suddenly lead to you targeting top 4.
I know it’s not many of you saying that, but there’s none on our side thinking that.
You’ll need to improve on the field a lot by the time it opens for it to be a significant factor in players joining you over joining a team more likely to compete for honours.
You were a long way off 4th a couple of years back despite wasting Brewsters millions. Things change quickly.
But considering how obsessed reds are with Everton, the Anfield Wrap being a good example, this tells its own story. If there was a negative way to talk about this you can be sure they would, its proper piped a lot down who were waiting for it and hoping there would be somethng to laugh about.
wasn't so long ago you had Ricky Lambert upfront chief.
Football can change very quickly and football goes in cycles.
Look at the power shifts at City/Utd & Spurs/Arsenal.
Long term should the Liverpool Waters project really kick in and BMD be alongside mass investment in retail/leisure/business Everton as a club will benefit massively in terms of outside investment.
I've always said this wont change us in the next 4-5 years but in 10-15 years I think this will be a game changer for a potential power shift on Merseyside...

I’m not going to argue that it can’t happen - the United City change you mention proves it can, but that has taken epic swings in both directions.
Without the oil money city wouldn’t have swung up so far, and the mismanagement post Ferguson has meant uts swung further down.
We’re not immune to going backwards, it’s far from impossible that you’ll come upwards.
But a “power shift” as you put it will take much more than a stadium as you know.
Ive said already, i like it, I hope it happens and I can understand why you’re all so excited for the future.
I’m in no way trying to urinate on any chips. I’m just saying that from what I’ve seen, heard and read - and even more so my own opinion - is that reds aren’t seething or jealous about this.

Class and giggidy
You’ve mistaken me for someone else, I reckon.Course your not, just giving shouts of we won’t fill it, Ifs will be crap, and be in the championship but your not bothered!

I expect you’ll fill it regularly as long as the prices aren’t significantly more than they are now, though like previous statements, you’ll need to also have a good side to see sell outs every week long term.
A new stadium will attract more match goers, so I expect you’ll be fine in that regard for a while, after which it’ll depend on how competitive you are - like every club.
Could be something in that, potentially. But the real life reds I speak to don’t really tend to talk about Everton unless we’re playing you, or you’re playing a rival, etc. At least not with me.
But could be a fair point.
Imagine if it’s us and we are still turbo turd
