After mauling the mighty Chester, the vermin are now tanking the awesome power of Tranmere. It's their year, need fear no-one
OMG YOU BEAT TRANNY LIVERPOOL WOW YOU ARE SO AMAZING IT'S YOUR YEAR!!!1

I wonder how many of their fans have suddenly decided their favourite player is Lovren now.

Going to be interesting to see how Liverpool fans treat him at the start of next season, they could well destroy any chance of him recovering if adopt the same attitude as that Tranmere player.

I think that’s gone anyway, irrespective.

The very best he can expect is a nervous tension - as much as anyone would want to support the lad on a human level, it’s instinctive to fear the worst, and no fans would be any different.

Reality is that he’ll get dogs abuse as soon as he screws up, and he’s screwed up plenty, even if you exclude the CL final.

No way does he turn his career back around at liveroool.

Do you think he’ll be sold before end of the window? As have to agree on the likely fan response and career trajectory.

I
Most likely not.

Think the way the Uruguay fans dealt with Muslera a more productive approach myself.

He’s a young star of their team, a country which already generally overacheives globally considering its size, and as far as I can tell that’s the first time he’s screwed up.

Mistakes happen, de Gea is possibly the best keeper in the world and he let one squirm in in the opening game, but he’s got credit in the bank.

Karius hasn’t. He’s been at best dubious long before Kiev. He got dropped for Mignolet at least once before finally getting his run back in the team and has made significant blunders.

I feel sorry for the lad, but you can’t really argue too much with him not getting a gentle round of applause and a pat on the back.

Plus even if we gave him that, he’s gonna get a tonne of stick from opposition fans every week and he doesn’t come across as the most mentally strong kids around.

Nobody associated with Liverpool wishes this had happened, but it has, and the only way he rebuilds a career in my option is to do it somewhere else, imo.

I’m not sure. The noises from the club wouldn’t suggest so, with no replacement strongly linked since Allison last season, but I have to think he will. Maybe it’ll be a loan back to Germany, but I can’t see him on the books.

Of the three we have, Ward has to be the best shoot to start, which maybe he deserves based on what he did at Huddersfield when they got promoted, but I’ve never seen him play more than a few minutes here and there so I don’t know if he’s good enough, though sitting third choice behind both Karius and Mignolet doesn’t suggest they’ve got too much faith in him.
