ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I think City’s and Chelsea’s identities are that of teams that have won lots and lots and lots of titles over the last decade. Arguing with fans of other teams on an Everton forum is pretty indicative of the identity of your fanbase if I’m honest.
*Sniffs the air...Nah, not a hint of Pot / Kettle anywhere here *disangages sarcastic font

Just been listening to them two and they are talking about it being their year this year, and all the players will improve from last year blah blah.

Yep - it's started yet again.
Main feature in this mornings Sunday Times - Jonathon Norcroft with almost a full page on why Liverpool will win the league this season - resplendent with a huge picture of the Egyptian Tom Daley. The most amazing thing was that he said Klopp would have to sacrifice the domestic trophies and 'that's not in his nature' - FFS! What are these guys smoking? On to the Mail On Sunday... A full 2 page spread by the one and only Danny Murphy, again in full flight about why Liverpool will win the league this year (yaaaawn). It seems like it is a criminal offence to say that they won't win it. After 30 years you think they would wise up just a little?

You bet?

I’ve got a season ticket on the kop, although admittedly I only make 3 or 4 games a year at the moment.

I also went to yours to watch us about 5 or 6 years ago. Think it was the first time you were on the verge of breaking into the top four. It was nil-nil and the atmosphere was insipid all game, absolutely awful.
How much are you making from Norwegian day trippers for the games you "can't make"?

I know someone who has two season tickets in the Centenary Stand, but like our illustrious poster has been too busy to go to most games for years.

Strangely, he doesn’t like being called a tout nor the accusation that he’s denying many fans the opportunity to get their own season ticket.

I wonder if someone feels the same? Or is it one of those phantom tickets that actually gets you a seat in your local pub?

I share mine out with 4 mates. I take 3 games leaving them with 4 each. And we split the cost equally between us.

I’m not sure if that makes me a tout by definition, but if it does, I’m a pretty bad one as I make a loss when you take into account travel to pick up and drop off the ticket between us.

Anyway, match is kicking off soon. Hope you lads enjoy it.

The Daily Telegraph Sports Section is even worse. It employs a load of Liverpool supporters, ex players etc., The latest excuse is to run a series on 'up and coming players'. Surprise, surprise, the first one, double page spread, was of a Liverpool player. The journalist involved? A rabid Liverpool fan.
