You bet?

I’ve got a season ticket on the kop, although admittedly I only make 3 or 4 games a year at the moment.

I also went to yours to watch us about 5 or 6 years ago. Think it was the first time you were on the verge of breaking into the top four. It was nil-nil and the atmosphere was insipid all game, absolutely awful.
Haha atmosphere wars, talk about their flags lad, they havent got a talentless two chord tube playing songs for them before games have they? Not a proper club are they?

Mate you're okay in my books, but please give the net spend chat a swerve. You have the most expensive keeper and, until Man United's complete descent into complete lunacy, had the most expensive centre half in the world. By a long way. The great Coutinho heist doesn't change that, Liverpool have been spending like MC Hammer for years, and have the squad to show for it.
The great Coutinho heist , that's excellent. lollol

Is there any chance of putting talksport on and they happen NOT to be talking about the rs.
I've pretty much had to stop listening. I like Georgia & Cascarino show on the weekend and I like Danny Kelly. Everything else can do one. The breakfast show in the week is abysmal radio

Just been listening to them two and they are talking about it being their year this year, and all the players will improve from last year blah blah.

Never met a red who didn't sit on the kop, the kop must hold 95k.

I think there are issues with these. We know Klopp front loads seasons. Almost every season, they start fast and fall away. They know they have to get a long way ahead of City to stand any chance (like more than 9 points ahead).

They have been really underwhelming in pre-season. Whereas most pre-seasons they whack opponents far and wide, Barca, Bayern etc regularly being put to the sword, this summer they have struggled with some very ordinary European opposition. If they don't start fast, things could begin to unravel as the pressure sets in. If they are not ahead of City after 10 games, pressure will kick in.

The other reality is, as I have speculated many times on here is that the pot is now dry. In blowing city out of the water financially they now have no money to spend unless they either (further) add to debt or sell a big player. At present nobody has seemed interested in buying one of the big assets.

The wage bill, which is heavily incentivised will now likely be over £300 million and thats before new contracts are discussed. Mane/Salah, VVD will all start demanding contracts upwards of double what they are on (currently nobody formally over 200k p/w). It all adds to the pressure. Coming 2nd and getting to consecutive European finals, alongside adding to debt is only just keeping them floating finanacially.

The trigger point in this, as it was for Benitez, is if they were to miss CL qualification. You cannot carry a wage bill that was already well above City's (before the bonuses took it over £300m) and additional contracts were renogotiated without CL football a long way into the competition. If they were to miss out, it would be a little like a house of cards and like last time you wouldn't rule out administration within an 18 month period. Thats the tightrope they are on currently.

The pressures are alleviated of course with a couple of big sales. At present nobody seems to be biting at the £200 million asking fees for the big players. Next year their value will be down further as they are another year closer to 30. Suddenly the fee go towards 150m and sides may begin to think they could get them down towards the 100 million mark. They may look to move Salah/VVD on for that figure to help with the pressure. We will see.

Have other clubs twigged on to the fact that apart from Sewerat, many of their big money sells don't perform for the new club? They seem to peak at the RS. I mentioned in another thread that there are massive flaws in their game, if they don't get on a roll of confidence I can see them being done in the 3-6th placings. Sadly , Pickfords gift last season gave them a massive confidence boost that lasted most of the season.
