Think the issue with Shaqiri is not his talent but his attitude, especially if he doesn’t think he's getting enough playing time or the team set up is wrong.

He's not cr@p, he is an international player with several years experience in the premier league, which means he is pretty good. But he is not good enough to improve a team challenging for top 4, and probably not good enough to improve any top half team.

Think that goes for most fans of every Club to be fair. Fans get excited when their Club buys players, fans will argue that even the unknown, unheralded players will turn into fine players. Last summer will tell us that.

Spot on. I made the mistake of chatting to an RS (typical non-match going) colleague in work yesterday.

The answer is simple; choices to come off the bench in the second half of last season in attacking positions were Dom Solanke who scored 1 in something like 28, and Danny Ings who may have once had a chance at being a player, but after two serious injuries is next to useless in our system.
Squad depth is a big issue and he makes our squad better than it was.
