ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I remember people saying that on the internet about Messi in his pomp.

Internet football coaches are great in theory.

Not a matter of being an internet coach, as you call it.

And to mention Messi in the same conversation as Saleh is simply foolish. Messi had/has the lot. Saleh is mainly a one-trick pony who will be sussed out - no way will he knock in 40-odd goals again this season.

Score loads of worldies you mean

If you wish to call them that... I would call them rather bleedin' obvious. Rather like Kane's headed goal against the Mancs on Monday - don't put defenders on posts at corners and it's bleedin' obvious that you'll concede goals going in just inside the post...

In fairness Arjen Robben used to be exactly the same. Everyone knew what he was going to do but couldn’t stop it. The difference is I think you could drop Messi Robben Coutinho into any team in the world and they’d be quality. I think Salah plays well in this Liverpool team but I don’t think he has the quality of those other names. I’ve seen him completely nullified by even average defenders. It’s not his individual talent but the system that kills poor teams. Some brain dead defenders can’t help but rush out to Firmino leaving gaping spaces in behind for Salah or Mane. Teams that have sat deep, even poor ones, have been able to frustrate Salah easily.

If football coaches did what you say why do players like Messi Coutinho Ronaldo and Henry in his pomp continue to score the same goals every season by coming in on their favoured foot.

It's also about stopping the supply line with those passes they receive which is even harder.

Next time you see those players score those so called easy goals to stop, watch their movement how they pull away from their markers to find the space and see how easy that is to stop.

I bet you're great on football manager though.
