ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I checked on Wiki.

He joined Dortmund 2008 and won the titles in 2011 & 2012.
Well that ties in with all the gargantuan spending - he has a two year window if he follows the Dortmund pattern.

It's not Liverpool's season. It's their two seasons! Terrible news. Good job, Klopp and the players haven't got a history of bottling it otherwise we'd all be laughing like it was last year's CL final.

Are you actually serious? Jesus [Poor language removed] Christ. It's a football rivalry for crying out loud. I know plenty of R's that are perfectly lovely people. As I'm sure you do! Don't you realise how utterly ridiculous you sound when you talk like this? I'm all for rivalry, I'm all for criticism, but you really have taken the piss with this one. You criticise Liverpool fans for deluded dedication to their team yet we do exactly the same with even less to show for it - but that's football. That's fine! But comparing them to fascist organisations and having the front to talk about Hitler in the same point is absolutely pathetic. Get a [Poor language removed] life mate. I've read some of your other self important soliloquys and this has to be the most cringeworthy of the lot!

Disingenuous, cheap arguments and the kind of rubbish that makes me embarrassed to be a football fan, let alone an Everton fan. Grow up!

Well, well, well what have we here? Another apoplectic reaction by a newcomer. Hmmmm. Couldn't be, could it?

Inappropriate Language
Of course it is.

I guessed that was coming. I've been a browser of the forum for months but only registered a few weeks ago. Never been one to post much and I only discovered this bit of the forum recently. To be honest though I wish I'd never bothered. Unfortunately some of my famiy are reds and they drive me [Poor language removed] crazy but hey, what can you do? I just think describing them as violent people, fascists and making reference to Hitler is incredibly stupid and childish. It's funny how you assume that means I'm a closet red. I thought we were above that crap.

I suspect that Catcher wasn’t referring to your 14 year old niece. Possibly it is the idiots who trash opposing clubs coaches and trawl the web to dig up facts such as present day footballers had a few detentions at school.

Next they'll be claiming that the earlier UCL kickoffs this season are unfair and will stifle the unique atmosphere at The Pit.

It IS terrifying to go there as we've seen - whilst I'm sure that Neymar, Mbappé et al have never quite experienced the team bus being criminally attacked by hoardes of deranged thugs I'm sure they can cope with a few choruses of that godawful anthem at the beginning.

Funny how they requested a "safety meeting" ahead of the return trip to Rome last season yet were eager to turn a blind eye to social media posts weeks in advance of the City and Roma games proclaiming the "welcome" that was being planned. I didn't see any media questioning of it either despite the dogs in the street knowing what was going to unfold.

They can't risk that again surely but with friends in high places who knows. A club with their history above all others helping to create an atmosphere which anyone could see could result in serious injury or loss of life. But as long as they get the result, then who cares?

They play PSG and Belgrade both at home before away , if they set up the same coach welcome then the visits over there could well cause fans problems. If I and many on here know that the club and it’s supporters have a duty to consider it as well .
