ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

The BBC's latest anodyne description of what happened at Heysel:

"Thirty-nine fans were killed during the 1985 European Cup final between Liverpool and Juventus, after crowd trouble culminated in a surge by Liverpool supporters towards the Italian team's fans and people were crushed against a wall that then collapsed."

Just a surge....which culminated after crowd trouble...so "the surge" wasn't even part of that then.

Oh, I see.

FFS, when will that event be accepted by all for what it was: mass murder.
So the rs hooligans were avoiding the surge and started laying into the Juventus fans. That makes sense then, it wasn't their fault and we need to stop blaming them for being banned from the European Cup.

Just part of a surge...like an force of nature. Swept along by something they had no control over. Impossible to stop it.

That's cleared that up then.

But wait, Bruce Grobbelaar goes on to cast more light on the real culprits of the night:

"I remember going out onto the pitch and picking out two knives that had buried into the grass; they had been thrown onto the pitch by the Juventus fans and they were stuck in the middle of the six-yard box."

So it was the Juventus fans.

The scales have fallen from my eyes. How could we all have been so critical of the Kopites?

So, dave, Juventus fans managed to throw knives from a position near the corner flag right into the 6-yard box according to Bruce the Gob? Their attempts at self-rehabilitation get worse and more puerile all the time...

To be honest, I have never seen the actual challenge, never felt the need to and never felt the need to comment (on the challenge itself) but after this headline I thought 'what the hell' I will have a gander.

I am now thinking 'what the hell', how can a grown adult still be affected by a challenge like that, how can it still be talked about. I have seen worse in games of touch rugby. It was nothing. Somebody should have a word with him if he is really affected by a run of the mill coming together.

Maybe show them the tackle on Coleman and then show him his first game back and to get some perspective.

How about showing them David Busst's injury or talk to Cazorla on what a real injury is, absolutely pathetic.

City are heavy favourites, but it was a good win for us and we deserved it. First post and I won't take the piss as I have loads of Everton mates stemming back to the eighties, am I ok to post on here or not ?
At least you are man (or should that be mad )enough to out yourself as a kopite unlike some of the divvies on here

I see that Chelsea are top. I’m unable to comprehend this.
The premier league table as published by the Premier league and all reputable outlets is only a rough guide to how the season is progressing.
For a more detailed ,incisive and truthful version of proceedings one would have to consult the Alternative Premier League Table.
It can be found on the unbiased fountain of football knowledge the RED AND WHITE KOP,sometimes lovingly referred to as RAWK.
While I cannot testify to the accuracy of the above statement Havrey and radiostar amongst others assure me of its validity.

Unless HongKongToffee tells me what's what I'm having none of that.

There seems to be a large number of posters in this thread with very small post counts. Can’t think why.
MAYBE THEY ARE LONG TIME EVERTON FANS WHO HAVE ONLY COME OUT OF THR CLOSET
they did the same last year, they only played 3 games in the fa and caraboa cup combined. then concentrated on the league and cl,
You have an extremely in-depth knowledge of their cup runs
