The next two league games for Libpewl Football Cult will see if they are really potential winners.

Southampton at Castle Greyskull should be an easy win but it was games like this that let them down last season, then Chelsea away next week.

Personally, i think they will win both. They are defensively much improved this season. The great hope of City running away with the league took a major hit last night, unless they get knocked out in the group stages and focus on the premier league.

So far, Liverpool are the best English team in the Champions league and looking very good in the premier league.

Hard to say after one game, they played a poor PSG team that was missing 5 first teamers and still conceded 2 goals, they still have a weakness about them that will stop them from winning anything imo.
 
This thread is getting very amusing. I'm quite looking forward to our first defeat for the "told you so" comments. Just ONE note Of concern, City losing at home to a team in one-team league (that team being PSG!).

PS take it easy on me as I'm covalescing at home having been rushed into hospital by ambulance a few nights ago lol.

Getting ???? We've been laughing our heads off on here for years now at the 'irony-free & gift that keeps giving' zone of the Cult. Given your noted state of convalescence, you're clearly gaining some succour here....were glad to help.

To be fair PSG were awful, some of their passing (especially in the 1st half) was worse than ours against West Ham so we are talking a very high level of ineptitude.

You could see, however, that when PSG did have their moment they threatened an obviously fragile midfield and defence, Draxler should have won the game but then they reverted to sitting back, giving the ball away and giving Alexander-Arnold the freedom of the right wing. I would not go as far to say you were lucky but, I honestly believe, that if PSG stepped up 1 gear they would have won that game at a canter.

I would not be as cocky as you are, it is early days and what has been said about the depth of the squad is spot on.

Can you start a “musing of a RS thread maybe” , so you can regail us with amusing tales and asides because I’ve said it before this is where I prefer to laugh at you lot for the ticket stealing ,racist defending ,fan ambushing ,celebrating titles in September scum you are . I despise you I’ll be honest . the only thing about you that makes me smile is year after year your hubris has made the tears I’ve bathed in more enjoyable. As has been said I’ve probably been to the devils den and European jolly’s more than a good proportion of your pathetic YNWA posting fanbase ,certainly the type that log on here pretending to be blues with pathetic regularity .

Rest assured you’ll win one , I mean given your repeated tearful failures lately you must be due , and you can all dance , sing and rob your own in happiness and loads will sign up here rather than having a beer and celebrating . basically doing what any normal human would do. I lived through years of that when you were a success so I’m alright with it , as a fanbase a lot of you lot were alright as well then but I’ll be honest you mostly seem just a strange , odd coach smashing mob now . If you want a true indicator of just how despised the RS are, look no further than every ground in total unison singing the Gerrard/Demba Ba song post slip. Completely neutral clubs would sing it at the RS' expense even when they weren't even playing them.

This wouldn't happen to any other club in the country. Most hated club in England, and quite possibly the world.
