It's late, I'm still sober and I feel like ranting...
Number One - What the holy hell is that complete balloon Lovren doing accompanying his serious'denial' of perjury charges with a smug photo of himself holding up a World Cup Runners Up medal? What, perjury only counts if you're no good? If he murdered a gang of puppies this goon would probably turn up in court with a T-Shirt of a press clipping about him on it. Send him down, I've had enough of him.
Number Two - okay, so one turned out a win and one a defeat, but when at 90 minutes Liverpool were drawing with PSG at home and Spurs were holding Inter Milan in Italy, it seems rather a stretch to laud one as sending 'a message to the rest of Europe' while attacking the other for being a 'weak team' with serious problems reaping the rewards of not strengthening. Yet that's what we've had on the radio today. All. Day. Long. Let's look at it this way - if this was the knockout stage, which result would be regarded as better - a one goal lead going to PSG having given two away goals, or a one goal defecit bringing Inter back to London, with an away goal in the bag? Precisely. Let's get real here.
Number Three - I'm getting increasingly fed up uf these kopite idiots infesting this thread. 'We want to converse with other fans' they whine (if they admit it), which is fine in itself, but not on a thread dedicated to laughing at your own team. If we had an anti-United thread on here I could understand them joining in, but that isn't the case. Much of the fun is being sucked out of this thread with the constant arguing, and basically enabling them. If they HAVE to be allowed in here like the gang of five year olds they are, and can't be banned, then I'd suggest everybody ignore their posts. Without the satisfaction of people engaging with them, the trolls will get bored and go back under the bridge, or at least stick to throwing paving slabs off it.
Oh yes, one final bonus item - looking at that '£50m Sturridge' story linked earlier, regardless of the stupidity of the content, just how much, on a scale of 1 to 10, do you want to punch him in the face looking at that photo of his stupid dance? I'd take 11 if that was an option, a la Spinal Tap...
