ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I don't want to get too carried away, but there's an air of Sissoko about him. Fingers crossed.

He's got a trick or two and has good balance. He'd be someone you could turn to in an injury crisis to hold the fort against the likes of Fulham or whatever.

£50M they paid for that though.

They're all teetering, It's a lottery as to which one will blow first.

RobC has pretty much gone already tbh.
Havrey is always trying hard to suppress his anger.
HongKongToffee perhaps makes his anger the least obvious but he tries too hard, it's clear he's a pit of rage.

Then there's the bit part players who make their fuming cameos.

This should be where they extend their buffer over us but with BMD on the horizon, Uncle Uzzy itching to spend his billions (not on Charlton!), hundreds of millions in debt, a squad that's deceptively old and one proper trophy in 30 years.....it's making them crazy.

It's really rather lovely to watch.
Of course i'm raging.

It hurts watching what a mess we have been the last 3-4 seasons wasting money whilst watching them get a top class manager mixing it up in the top echelon of football while expanding a stadium and having a excellent recruitment strategy.

I said in a previous post it will take a while to be on par with them, how long until a stadium, how long until we hit the magic £400-£500+ million turnover mark?

To be honest, I think it affects our fans and our match day atmosphere more than we’d like to admit. It’s made us jealous and impatient, we want to be at their level or at least showing signs of catching them up, however they’ve just took off and left us for dead since Klopp came in. Every stoppage time winner for them twists the knife a little bit deeper. Coupled with us being stuck in a seemingly endless state of nothingness every season, that frustration permeates the fanbase and continues to seep into the ground on a match day.

The easy solution is to not even think about them, don’t ever watch their games, don’t read articles about them, don’t even watch their coverage on Sky Sports News. It’s genuinely improved my life and my stress levels since I adopted this approach, however I understand it’s not something that everyone will be able to do.

I did this a couple of years back, stopped watching them. I am at the point of turning off football for good. The obsession with them is stomach turning. I'm fed up of hearing about them. They didn't play a match for 2 weeks yet there was still a comment section about them on the BBC. Klopp has raised their profile even more. United don't get as much airtime as them and they've actually won stuff.

Can't be bothered with the sport. I know the irony is me moaning about them is giving them more attention.

What actually hurts is that you can't really gloat, not about winning trophies, like the stuff fans of big clubs could.

You're reduced to 'gloating' about being in the 'top echelon', stadium expansions and recruitment strategies.....it's really rather tragic when you think about it? What would Shanks have said, eh?

Just imagine the scene, Rome 84, they've just won their 4th European Cup (on penalties of course) in 8 seasons and someone says, just think in 30 years time we'll be able to boast about expanding our stadium!

Liverpool have fallen so, so far that liverpool fans don't realise its embarrassing to even attempt to boast about what you've just boasted about, it's a shame really. Everton being even worse has kept you going but it's just a bit desperate, sorry to say. You might regain the glory years but not for a while yet, regardless of whether or not you have a 'top class manager'.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest that you don't watch games involving rs. I just don't know why you would get upset that other people do. Anyway for your information I don't get all bitter twisted or irate about them, life is too short. I like watching games of football whoever is playing, but if that's not your bag I'm not going to force you to do the same. And "incredibly frustrated" about anything is as far from a description of me that you could possibly get lollol

Get upset? Did you read the actual paragraph I posted? Here it is again:

It’s genuinely improved my life and my stress levels since I adopted this approach, however I understand it’s not something that everyone will be able to do.

I mean you could call that getting upset, or trying to force people into my way of thinking, or you could call it genuine advice based on a personal anecdote with the understanding that not everyone would benefit from the approach as much as I’ve done.

Klopp has been lucky that he has joined Liverpool during the post Ferguson period and United aren’t as successful (they’ve still gained 3 trophies to his none in the same period though. If United were winning leagues and god forbid Everton weren’t tragic then Klopp’s league record and empty cabinet would be under scrutiny now. As it is it only takes the odd big result and some media column inches to make that lot forget they’ve won one three handled pot in 12 years.

Everton fans rush to support 'legend of the Park End' mocked in sneering Tweet

Footie fans have jumped to the defence of a disabled Everton fan mocked in a sneering Twitter post after a video captured him celebrating a goal.

The footage, which was widely shared online, shows the young man running along a disabled section of the stand in Goodison Park after the Blues netted during their 3-1 defeat to West Ham on Sunday .

However some observers suggested he had "jumped out of a wheelchair" after Gylfi Sigurdsson pulled one back for the Toffees , and made assumptions about his disablity.

One Twitter user, @AshHinchy, said: "So this guy got out of his wheelchair and started running around a kicking himself when Everton scored. Miraculous."

However the post was quick to draw derision from other users, many of who said they had seen the man at games before and suggested he had Down's Syndrome.

@blue-nose-amy said: "Angers me so much the state of the replies to this. The lad concerned isn't a wheelchair user.
"He is a lovely lad who has Down Syndrome and just loves Everton. He reacts to every goal we score with so much joy. His Everton world is much nicer than the real one."

@cdg68everton said: "He sits by us and is a legend of the Park End. Everyone loves him.
"If only the team had half of his energy and charisma."

User Granville Jenkins said: "Trial by a 20 second clip - you’re not a doctor, your judging a disabled person and vilifying his actions on Twitter - can’t think of many things more despicable.
"That chap clearly has Downs Syndrome and for a brief few seconds released a lot of emotion. Get a life!"

Gylfi Sigurdsson powerds a header past Lukasz Fabianski.

Despite the scorn of other social media users, @AshHinchy continued to cast aspersions on Evertonians, posting: "Funny how all the Everton fans are responding now daytime TV has finished, and the job centre is closing."
A spokesman for Everton said the club did not wish to comment on the video.
Abysmal. Sums up the worst of people. I doubt he feels any shame in his name calling. No doubt he'll be saying he's the victim now.

Huh not the response i was looking for.

Anyway we have a lot of hard work even to get a top 6 spot, that's a tough nut to crack, get that first then we can aim for the top 4 and being in the premier tournament with the big bucks and bringing a higher profile for the club and attracting more fans which in turn brings more supporters to the blue cause.

The job is gargantuan for Moshiri in the modern day of football as we see it today,it's about having the team, bigger stadium/match day revenue, social media profile and big commercial partners which sadly in all 4 catergories we lag so far behind the likes of United Arsenal RS City and Chelsea who are on another level to us.

If Moshiri gets that right it would be right up there with Martin Edwards and how he elevated United in the 90's on and off the pitch, but Moshiri has more roadblocks to deal with than Edwards did as top tier English football is now in a different landscape to the 1990's especially with FFP 2 coming in the summer with more stringent spending/wages.

Are those roadblocks why Liverpool have only won one trophy in well over a decade?
