Chelsea have proven they're a better team than Liverpool over the last week. City are better than the pair of them.

End of the season: City with about a 7/8 point margin over Chelsea/Liverpool.
Not sure about the points difference but yeah, the top 6 is to all intents and purposes a top 3.

Like I said it’s job done for Chelsea, at that level it’s very difficult to win 2 games back to back against the same opposition. Out the cup and points dropped. Their best ever start and you can throw a blanket over City them and Chelsea. They would have wanted a lead after this run.

What's more, it's only 4 points back to Spurs and Arsenal. So if Spur, Arsenal and Chelsea win next week and City and the RS draw it would be 20,20,20,18,18. Could be an interesting season.

Sarri paid the price there for just doing enough to protect a 1-0 lead. But credit to Chelsea for keeping up with them in terms of work rate. Both teams had chances overall 1-1 was a fair result but Chelsea should have held on for the win

Tbh I thought Chelsea were the better team. They paid the price for taking their foot off after 60 minutes instead of pushing for a second goal .... which I think they were more than capable of. Containing a decent Liverpool team for almost half an hour whilst in 3rd gear bodes well for Chelsea this season.

Hazard wow....a class above anything Liverpool have by sssssooommmeee distance.

Almost £100 million for Keita and Fabinho along with the missed opportunity to weigh Salah in. They’ve blew some money this summer.

I

I thought it was a quality game. Hopefully we can get to that kind of level in the near future. Probably like most people I watched the West Ham - Man United game in the pub pre-match. Went the game and then watched the RS after the game.

I think the quality of the United game was probably our glass ceiling under Koeman or Fat Sham. I think Chelsea versus the RS was a level above us at the moment but I think the way to bridge the gap is to go all in with Silva.

If Mosh is going to carry on and invest then the only way to compete with the likes of Sarri, Guardiola and Klopp is to meet fire with fire. We need to recruit the kind of players who can play at that level. The likes of Digne and especially Richarlison are a start but we need 6 or 7 players of that quality.

If they get done by City next week - or even drop a couple of points - their season is going to start looking a lot less slick than it's been portrayed thus far.

City are usually terrible there, but strangely I fancy them.
