A team managed by Sam Allardyce caused him countless problems over two games with absolute chumps upfront. He always has been massively overhyped. He’s often so far away from danger that he can’t be blamed for it, or he makes huge errors that luckily go unpunished then the media are calling him a Rolls Royce immediately after. Eventually you always get caught out and it’s started to happen to him now. Nowhere near the top echelon of centrebacks in Europe nowhere near.

I don't want them out the champions league in the groups hopefully they finish 2nd An get a Barcelona Real Madrid or Juve With there luck tho they will probably get someone like Porto again. dropping down into the europa will give them a chance at a trophy they are more likely to win.

We had this last year and they ended up in Kiev , just get them out and we’ll deal with what we have to .

Allison looks overweight for a top keeper. He should have saved Hazard’s in the league but he went down in installments and got a weak hand on it. Same happened against Napoli as well where he was nowhere near a shot across goal that luckily for them went wide.

Imagine the chaos of multiple trips to eastern Europe, only to have the prospect of losing to Chelsea in the final of the Europa league if they finish third

I still think they’ll get out of the group, PSG’s shambles at Anfield secured that. They’re having to go strong every match of this group though as they’re unlikely to be assured of qualification before the final game. That’s a huge difference to last season when he was rotating 2 of the ‘fab four’ in the league and CL because they were in a group with 2 pub teams. The annual Christmas fixture pile up will hopefully be the death knell for their league campaign.

Glad to say I didn't see the game, but listened on & off to the commentary. Never at the races, tactically got it wrong, front 3 still not firing, midfield largely anonymous, full backs erratic, keeper and Gomez performed reasonably. Deservedly beaten by the better side on the night.

Not ideal prep for the City game and seems City will never have a better chance of ending their Anfield hoodoo.

Salah NOT going in January (I'll remind you of this, Davek) probably because no-one would buy him on current form lol
