ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Been pretty good, not "VERY ordinary". Battered Spurs at Wembley & battered PSG, both without converting the numerous chances made. Deservedly got a draw in a good match against a top Chelsea side.

Klopp has lost the majority of those finals as he's played with a lesser side against a better side lol.

Salah is not unhappy at Anfield, he's unhappy with his personal form. He's missed lots of chances and had several goals disallowed, but keep attempting to convince yourself (and others) if it makes you happy, mate.

The City game has always been massively important. Failure to take all 3 points is not the disaster you're trying so hard to make it out to be. A draw against THIS City side is never a poor result, defeat would be a blow, but certainly not insurmountable at this stage of the season, particularly with some very winnable fixtures coming up.

As for title-contenders, we may still be some way off, but that remains to be seen.

All in all, I'm happy enough with things on the red side of Merseyside.
"Battered" is not the right word to use for games you won by one goal lad.

Why do we allow kopites in this thread ffs

I don’t care if they are friendly, this thread is basically a rare chance of enjoyment to laugh at them when they lose, especially considering nothing good ever happens at EFC anymore

I don’t want to hear actual discussion on the merits of their team

Think it's actually 2nd in CL group on head to head against with PSG, so wrong again, Davek ;)

Glad to say I didn't see the game, but listened on & off to the commentary. Never at the races, tactically got it wrong, front 3 still not firing, midfield largely anonymous, full backs erratic, keeper and Gomez performed reasonably. Deservedly beaten by the better side on the night.

Not ideal prep for the City game and seems City will never have a better chance of ending their Anfield hoodoo.

Salah NOT going in January (I'll remind you of this, Davek) probably because no-one would buy him on current form lol

For someone who listened to the match and never watched it, you must be Derek Acorah in disguise

I smell fear.

You are, in reality, just waiting with the rest of us for the boom-bust cycle to start up again.

You beat an indifferent Spurs team and a PSG team intent on not showing what it could do...in the last seconds.

6 finals:

Dortmund v Bayern: equal match up there at the time.
Ditto Dortmund v Bayern in the 2014 Pokal Cup
Pokal Cup final Dortmund v Wolfsburg - Dortmund second favourites?!!
Liverpool v Seville: why was that loaded against Liverpool?

City v Liverpool and Liverpool v Madrid - yes, no question Liverpool were expected to be beaten.

He's the Cliff Barnes of football management.

Therein lies you problem my red tailed friend.

The Liverpool i know and remember (and hate), did not care who they faced in the final of a competition, they would beat them, they were "Liverpool FC" 5 time, 18 league titles and all that. Even through the Houllier & Benitez years you stayed relevant without winning a title by being a cup team, that won finals, it wouldnt matter who it was, liverpool got to a final they would win it!
Klopp has abslutely played the "we are liverpool the underdogs" card beautifully and all the LFC supporters have fell for it!
When in the past would it be acceptible to win 1 trophy in 13 years for a cerial winner club, on Klopps part, he is in his 4th year, managers in the past wouldnt of lasted that long without a trophy.

That is not what Liverpool are to my recelection, and if you keep that mentality then you will slowly turn into a club like us who are experts in snatching defeat from the claws of glory

I don't want them out the champions league in the groups hopefully they finish 2nd An get a Barcelona Real Madrid or Juve With there luck tho they will probably get someone like Porto again. dropping down into the europa will give them a chance at a trophy they are more likely to win.

This is my perspective on it!
Europa is an achievible trophy for them! I want them to stay away from that for as long as possible

Dortmund v Bayern - equal lol; do you understand German football.

Also, do you understand "majority"?

Read the thread loads of this last year and everyone regretting it s fee months later after they’d smashed up city’s coach. I don’t want anything for them but a Europa league run is significantly more bearable than last year .

Let’s just be wishing them to be losing every game and see how we get on from there .

Good post mate. As well as this I find it odd the way some of the older blues worry about them winning the odd cup here and there. None of us want it but with the law of the money averages it has to happen sooner or later but just be forever grateful that they have not been a real force in the game for a long, long time.
