ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

This is what confounds me: a lot of physically unattractive footballers seem to be able to pull beautiful looking birds...how the hell they do it, I'll never know...
I had a mate like that... dead ugly... never ever spoke.. but pulled all the best birds... no idea how... he’d just sit in the corner all night when we were out on his own .. just sit there licking his eyebrows

There really has been an embarrassing over reaction in the first two months of the season by the Liverpool-worshipping media. They're desperate to get a surge for them going but they're hoping against hope on that. They look well short.

I can’t figure out what’s been the biggest over reaction, the title challengers who are 3rd or the unchallenged theme that Liverpool had a fantastic transfer window.

TalkSPORT had a full phone in last week regarding how Spurs would be challenging for the title IF they’d done the marvellous business Liverpool did in the summer.

It’s like none of them have realised that Keita and Fabinho look a complete waste of £100 million whilst the keeper, although looking an improvement on what they had, he’s still got to some way to prove he’s not doing anything that Hart or Fabianski couldn’t do for £80 million less.

It sounds fanciful atm, but I wouldn't rule out Liverpool falling from the top 4 (let's face it, there are now a lot of teams back in contention) and Klopp coming uner real pressure to save his job before the end of the season. I agree, it can and does end quickly at Liverpool. That's how they do things in recent years. Whatsmore, there is a lot of their fans who have never taken to Klopp. It would cause a fuss but there would be a lot of approving voices too.

We're still miles off that scenario like. However, you can see the change in assessment from most people now after their last 4 nothing/alarming performances. They are in third with a share of the lead, but they are also on the ropes a little bit.

I smell fear from Klopp in his interviews and i sense Kopites begining to roll their eyes again at another approaching boom-bust cycle.

I don't think we've seen any turn from them yet, but we will. It will get messy as there is a layer of their fans who have convnced themselves klopps a world class manager who the whole of Europe is a mixture of terrified and jealous of. It will be very hard for them to acknowledge thats not the case. It would mean accepting they chat utter nonsense.

I dont know why Talksport and Sky Sports are sucking up because Liverpool supporters dont listen/watch them, as they're part of the evil Murdoch empire and boycott them both.......

They are the moths drawn to Murdoch’s flames. They literally lap the stuff up, they can’t get enough of media attention. Everything about the club from their manager to Salah to their ex player pundits scream ‘me me me look at me’. After decades of no longer being a top club, column inches rather than trophies is their currency now, and they will take any limelight they can get no matter how hypocritical of them it is.

I just said this to a workmate (A West Ham fan) who said you guys are bang in the race.

The reality is, that Kane hasn't got started yet (and tends to explode as the season goes on) Alli has a lot to give and Son is still to return. You get those 3 right and you are right in the mix.
I think it just comes down to how Spurs look when you watch them which is generally not good. The RS could have scored a whole bunch more than they did. Spurs since then have scraped by the two worst teams in the league and a mid table at best Brighton side while looking seriously average at the San Siro and being battered by Barcelona. So yes points wise they are right there but they just don't look like contenders at the moment.

Totally agree. Keita doesn't automatically start over Wijnaldum and Milner but is somehow still an amazing midfielder in their eyes. Fabinho is totally MIA. Shaqiri hit the cross bar once but more generally is not preferred to Sturridge. They are still a thin squad if they don't trust any of these players.

I just find it amazing that a fanbase who can see the conspiracy everywhere of Murdoch's empire dont have a blanket ban on his media. Banning that paper is easy. It involves no great sacrifice. Giving up Sky Sports though? Never seen it mentioned as the obvious target for banning/swerving that in all consistency it has to be. That needs some explaining.
