It sounds fanciful atm, but I wouldn't rule out Liverpool falling from the top 4 (let's face it, there are now a lot of teams back in contention) and Klopp coming uner real pressure to save his job before the end of the season. I agree, it can and does end quickly at Liverpool. That's how they do things in recent years. Whatsmore, there is a lot of their fans who have never taken to Klopp. It would cause a fuss but there would be a lot of approving voices too.You meet some people in life who are good under pressure. Then you meet others who excel when they are in their "zone". It's like golf, some players can shoot the ball around -8 and be aggressive in attacking every pin, however if the wind gets up, or an aspect of their game is under par they will unravel quickly. Thats really Klopp. He's a very positive, optimistic manager who is great when things go well, but I wouldn't trust him in a crisis, as he won't change direction or gear to solve it.
The other factor in this is Buvac has gone, who was meant to be the brains behind the strategy while club was the front man. Losing someone who you've always worked with is critical, especially if things start going wrong.
I don't think anyone could quibble with my assessment so far. We have seen a fast start, we have now seen a dip. We could easily see the dip becoming a crisis. Both Houllier and Benitez fell from grace spectacularly from a far greater position than what Klopp is in. In both cases it unravelled very quickly. That was the pre-social media age.
We're still miles off that scenario like. However, you can see the change in assessment from most people now after their last 4 nothing/alarming performances. They are in third with a share of the lead, but they are also on the ropes a little bit.
I smell fear from Klopp in his interviews and i sense Kopites begining to roll their eyes again at another approaching boom-bust cycle.
