ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Imagine the venom if we actually one day became a top side again they would all have a mental breakdown.

Im praying Mina and Gomes come in to the side and we start jumping up the table alongside positive news on BMD they'll be foaming especially if they start slipping down the table.

The excuses begin

Christ Almighty....is there ever a day goes by when they dont whinge or crib about something/some slight on them or whatever/however inferred ? Remember Pearl Drops even moaning about Sturridge not having enough "recovery time" etc and Sterling being tired zzzzz
I don't know about their players needing a break...we need a break from them and their "its in our DNA" carping.

They are playing up te lack of energy and directness is a tactical change from Klopp.

This would be a departure from everything he has done during his coaching career.

The reality is the lightning quick speed of counter attacks, high pressure game (heavy metal football) they are too tired to perform.

This shouldn't come as a massive surprise. Lads like Lallana and Sturridges bodies have been ravaged by this style of football.

They had a very long season last year, with then a World Cup summer on top. There's not been enough of a break for them to carry out Klopps game plan.

Throw is that he tries to start fast and then dips, it would be very alarming to me that in October the energy wells look quite bare to me. Keita who we were told would be unanimous POTY material hasn't just under performed but looks to be struggling with the rigours involved.

To me the question is no longer will a dip come (as I predicted it has). It isn't necessarily how long the dip will last (or how severe it will be). For me it's will this dip predicate a perfect storm, a crisis on the field where the manager loses his head amongst a difficult moment (ah la the first half of his final season at Dortmund).

Klopp has many strengths. He has a unique brand of football and sticks to his principles. When it's going well it elevates players. However he is also quite hot headed and we are yet to see how he really copes with pressure or criticism. I will let the bottom at Christman with Dortmund, or the fact he got relegated with Mainz perhaps answer how he deals in a crisis.

A manager like for example Benitez was very good in a crisis. His game
management and tactical nous were still there and found a way to make his teams hard to beat. He would thrive on pressure. I'm not sure that's Klopps strength.

Then throw in he will know pressure like never before. It's fine making promises of "next year" but eventually you have to deliver. After the best start ever, the dominant discourse from their fanbase is not just that they can, or will win the league, but they will do so at a canter. That expectation will put enormous additional pressure on.

Look at the fixtures from Watford away (by no means easy with Kabasele back) through through to the new year. Throw in CL games, throw in the mad Christmas schedule, a group of tiring players and a manager who arguably struggles to keep the train on the tracks if it starts to turn, and you can see a potential problem point in those games.
Everything you say about Klopp is bang on mate.

He truly is stunned when Plan A goes awry. One of the funniest sights in football was when it all unravelled in the CL final and seeing Klopp's face - he just couldn't compute the info his brain was giving him. It was pathetic.

He knackered Dortmund after a few seasons. The CL final season they reached was their peak under him performance wise. I suspect we might have seen that peak at Liverpool reached last season when they also reached the CL final.

Keita and Shaquiri and Fabinho - signed by a manager looking to get to the next level was just friggin' hopeless.

This will unravel VERY quickly for Klopp. I cant see them winning anything this season and I said in the summer on here that I fancy him to be sacked next summer because 4 seasons with nothing at a club with expectations like theirs is unacceptable.

What do you expect from that 'kin rat faced get McNulty though? He made it his job to hound Joe Royle out of a job while doing Peter Johnson's bidding for him when he worked for the Echo.

Utter pond scum.

I didn't even bother reading who the author was tbh

Look at this piece of trash. Mentions that they beat city last season about six different times. Totally one eyed kopite bias at its worse, basically lauding everything about them, failing to forget city were actually part of the match and that it was drab because they were defensive, when the RS were the ones playing the defensive game. Then the utter denial of everything that's wrong with them atm by saying how World class their front 3 are and will undeniably score loads again. The best bit though was saying that despite a four game non winning streak they're still joint top. Hahaha, two of the games were in different competitions you doughnut.

I thought that that must have been written by someone from RAWK. Then I went back to the top to read who wrote it and I was correct.

I've been told that he is a Blue, a RS Red and a Manc Red. I haven't got a clue who he supports to be honest.
That article did, however, read like a party political broadcast on behalf of the RS party.
I haven't read it to be honest, I just saw people saying who'd written it. He's definitely a blue though.

Such a shame they scraped draws against PSG, Chelsea and City as their season would be looking very ropey now but their performances, or lack of, are very encouraging that they are on a hiding to nothing this season.

They have an easier run of games coming up but outside of their trip to Wembley against Spurs they haven't looked particularly good against any teams of good quality this season. Even in that game, Tottenham were denied a blatant last gasp penalty.

As usual, the media have appeared to get totally ahead of themselves in declaring the RS as the only team who can stop City, but watching their fans lap it up is always good entertainment. Its been a long time since I've cringed as hard as I did on Saturday with Sky's coverage, Challengers vs Champions was vomit inducing.
