What a great idea! I should drink with the RS fans beforehand, giving the impression that I'm one of them, then unzip my coat to reveal a PSG shirt then pull out the Everton flag.
Have you though this through properly?

Don't think crowd funding would be a problem with that one YC.Ill chip in
It's laugjable that the fraud still insists on peeling off his shirt at every available opportunity to reveal strapping on his shoulder. It's as if he's saying: "Honest, I wasn't a complete 'kin cry arseing coward on the biggest stage of club football for no reason, look...see the scars I continue to carry?!"Would our fans on here actually vote for a player like salah if he played for us and pussied his way out of champs league for what has to be the softest injury to make a footballer leave a final in the history of the sport? I'd still be fuming at him tbh.
Phil knows. In case you missed the Bernard thread.
Mate our second 11 backline would be absolutely torn to shreds. We would be playing Kenny, Baines, one of Holgate or Jags and Stek with Schneids in front of them. Even if we could score a couple they'd easily put 3 or 4 past.Just been looking at there squad and although they appear to have a strong first 11 I would say a combined team would probably only be 6 of theirs at the most. As for the back up players they have some of them are absolutely horrendous and I'm confident our 2nd 11 would easily beat them. Where they are lucky is they have goals but if teams sit off them they lack ideas as non of the midfielders are creative. Hard working will only get you so far.

I don't think they're particularly deep either I just really don't rate our depth right now. I think a full strength team of ours would be on quite a few more points than we actually have.
Klavan wouldn't even be there second XI though. It would be Matip and Lovren in center defense. Plus Clyne on the right who is at least Premier League level. I don't think DCL Lookman and Dowell or whoever would do much.Yeah but they'd have moreno, who's worse than all those. And klavan haha

Again I don't rate the RS depth at all but I also think currently the biggest problem we would have is turning to our backups again. They are in a lot of cases closer to championship level than Premier League.
I agree with a lot of that. I think a perfect example is Gana. A team like City he wouldn't really fit in just because he isn't hugely comfortable on the ball but I would have him over Fernandinho every time. The context of how the team lines up means a lot and often it doesn't really overlap enough to do the whole combined XI thing. We did also just lose with our back up XI to Southampton in the league cup. I’d say that’s solid evidence that we’re lacking in depth.
I never really understand the combined XI debate and discussion regarding them though, it seems pointless. Doesn’t take into account different managers playing different systems using different tactics with their own styles and personal preferences. For example Marco would 100% pick Richarlison and Klippity would 100% pick Firmino even if they had total free reign over both squads as those players suit those managers. Also form can change so much on a weekly and monthly basis that it’s impossible to lock down a best XI. Would Gylfi from the past month get in? Easily. Would Gylfi from last year get in? Highly unlikely. Similarly Bernard looks ace in his brief time here, will it continue? Has he done enough to prove he’s better than their front three? Not yet really.
It’s a pointless and impossible comparison that is nothing more than peepee measuring and when it’s done in relation to them it always gets reduced to bias (on both sides). I’d rather see combined XI’s with Arsenal and Spurs, even Chelsea. That would be interesting and probably a lot more objective.
