The entire team is now built around him. Firmino has dropped into number 10 which has pretty much negated him as a goalscoring threat. Shaqiri is out wide and Salah isnow through the middle. He’s a flat track bully who will always get goals against the dross of the league but the games against top opposition have found him out this season. Hazard showed him exactly how big the gap is between pumping a few past Southampton at home and deciding big games single handedly to win trophies, something Hazard has done season after season and Salah has never done in his career even once.

Tbh I’m surprised it’s not more rife in the game. These are young men who have often missed lots of schooling to play football and seem to be highly susceptible to some vices (spending, women, drinking, smoking) but conveniently all of them seem completely able to resist others (betting, drug taking). Sturridge’s crime might have just been that he was one of the few to be caught.
 

Hmm, brief reports on the BBC seem to indicate activity more worrying than a bored rich footballer with a gambling problem.

One charge relates to insider dealing, having access to "information available due to his position", or sommet like that.
